Kronk grinned wide, leaning in just enough to keep it playful. “Heh—mission accomplished, then! I’m just being honest. Can’t have you burning down the place and stealing hearts without warning, y’know?”

“Careful, Roy—your smile’s almost as dangerous as your flame.”

Roy couldn't help the chuckle and smile that touched his features at the others flirtations. "You really know how to make a man blush, Kronk."

Kronk blinks, then chuckles sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck. “Heh—well, not literally. I mean, I like your dangerous vibe. But uh… yeah, no actual venom shots for me. I’m not that hardcore.”

“You’re dripping charm like venom, and babe—I’m thirsty.”

Kronk chuckles. “Heh—careful what you wish for. I’m not great at cards, but I am pretty good at surprises. You up for it?”

“Yami, you’ve got the look that could win any game… and maybe me, too.”

Kronk grinned broadly, folding his arms across his chest. “Heh, tricky’s my specialty! Besides, I’m pretty patient. I can take all the time you need. Gotta make sure I get every piece in the right place, you know?”

He winked playfully. “So, where do you think I should start?”

“Zora, you’re like a cosmic puzzle—and I’m ready to figure you out piece by piece.”

Zora couldn't help but chuckle a little bit at his comment.

"Hm, seems like you might have quite the challenge ahead of you then. As much as I might be willing to share, there's a lot to understand and care about me. And it can be pretty tricky. "

Kronk’s grin got even wider, his eyebrows wiggling playfully as he pointed at her with both hands. “Ohhh-ho-ho! Careful now, Eos—if you get any hotter, I’ll need oven mitts just to hold your hand!”

He gave an exaggerated shiver, then leaned in closer with a wink. “But hey, I’m all about a little heat. Let’s see if you can keep me toasty all day long.”

“You rise and shine for everyone, but I’m hoping you save a little light just for me.”

Well, the little but... hunky fella was right on one thing. She indeed saved a little light for him, all from her cheeks, glowing brighter than her whole body.

Kronk steps out right behind Dan Heng, squinting up at the bright sky before shading his eyes with his hand. He takes an even deeper sniff of the summer air, then gives a big, satisfied grin.

"Ahhh—yep, that’s the good stuff!" He says cheerfully. He glances at Dan Heng adjusting his coat and chuckles. "You sure you don’t wanna lose a layer? It’s summer, buddy! Perfect weather for... ya know, not sweating."

He gives Dan Heng a friendly nudge with his elbow. "But hey, you do you. Wanna go hiking or somethin’, huh?"

Dan Heng steps outside onto the platform, taking in a deep breath of the crisp summer air.

Summer was one of his favorite seasons because nature and living beings are in full bloom.

"Not too bad." He mutters to himself, adjusting his coat.

Kronk let out a low, contented hum, his eyes half-lidding as Connor’s fingers massaged his scalp. “Aw, gee, thanks, Connor.” He said, voice rumbling with pleased embarrassment. He gave a crooked grin. “I use this fancy coconut stuff—gotta keep it nice, y’know? Can’t have my hair lookin’ like a mop when I’m makin’ my world-famous puffs.” He shifted a little closer, clearly enjoying the pampering despite the goofy grin on his face.

Kronk blinked in surprise, then gave a sheepish chuckle as Connor’s fingers moved gently through his thick hair. “Heh, wow, uh… that’s kinda nice.” He mumbled with a shy smile. “Y'know, most folks just compliment my spinach puffs, not my hair. But thanks, buddy.” He leaned into the touch just a bit, clearly flattered, but still bashful.

Kronk laughs warmly at her nose scrunch and finger poking his arm, flexing just enough to make it a little firmer under her touch. “Heh—yep, bench press, logs, boulders… sacks of flour when the gym’s closed. Gotta be prepared for emergencies and big bads, y’know?”

He winks back at her, letting her lean and poke as much as she likes while he keeps the bags steady. When she gasps at the dress and jokes about him carrying her, he chuckles. “Hey, I think plushie-keeper Kronk is a blockbuster—and don’t you worry about my arms. They’re ready for plushies, shopping bags and you. Especially you.”

Seeing her pout at the clothes, he leans down to meet her gaze. “Hey, hey… they don’t know what they’re missin’. You’re gonna look gorgeous no matter what you wear, Rockelle. But yeah—food sounds perfect.”

He shifts the bags again so she can cling to his arm better, nodding toward the exit. “C’mon, let’s get you fed before you waste away. Plus… I wanna see that smile you do when you eat something chocolatey. It’s, uh… kinda my favorite.”

Kronk adjusted the shopping bags in his arms, glancing down at Rockelle. “Hey Rockelle, you sure we’re not accidentally buying out the whole mall?” He chuckles, shifting a pastel pink bag with a bunny logo to the top of the stack, careful not to squish the tiny plush poking out. “Not that I’m complainin’—I mean, you light up when you see these cute things, and, uh… all that? Kinda hard to say no.”

He leans down a bit, speaking softer. “You doin’ okay though? Want me to carry one of those chocolatey things you like? You know I got pockets big enough for it.”

Kronk blinks at Tzekel-Kan’s sharp tone, but he doesn’t look offended. Instead, he offers a big, easygoing grin, one hand resting on his hip while the other snags another stray garment from the floor.

“Aw, don’t mention it! I mean, you looked like you had your hands full.” He ambles over to the shelf Tzekel-Kan indicated, squinting at the jumbled mess of bowls, figurines, and what looks like a pile of dried flowers. He lowers his voice just a little. “Okay, okay… easy does it…”

He carefully lifts one ornate bowl and sets it in a clear space on the shelf. He hums cheerfully as he works, brow furrowing in determination as he realigns every item with gentle precision.

“See? I got it. No knocking anything over. Not even gonna breathe too hard in this direction.” He glances back at Tzekel-Kan over his broad shoulder and gives him a thumbs-up, still smiling. “Just tell me where you want the fancy snake statue thing. I’ll even dust it for ya.”

" You did not need to help me, you know. "

Tzekel-Kan states bluntly and with an underlying tone of displeasure, picking up a couple of stray ceremonial garments off the floor. It was surprising that Kronk volunteered to help. He was capable of doing menial tasks like this by himself, but with the upcoming ceremony and the seemingly endless list of responsibilities on top of that, the other's assistance was weight taken off his metaphorical shoulders. The clothes were tossed onto a nearby chair as slender hands got to work folding them into neat rectangles. Kronk seemed like an annoyance to the high priest, but they were oddly endearing in a way he couldn't quite mold to his perspective. Observing Kronk for a momentary glance, Tzekel-Kan turns back to focus on what was in front of him, clearing his throat to maintain that steady, elegant composure.

" But... you have been surprisingly useful. This place is looking better already. Now, what I want you to do next when you are finished is to organize that shelf over there- "

He points to a shelf beside Kronk, which was cluttered with various items used for offerings.

" and make sure you do not knock anything over. Some items are fragile! "

Kronk hesitates for a second, cheeks going red. "Yeah... heh. I mean—I really wanna do it with you, Roy. I want you bad, not gonna lie."

He takes Roy’s hand gently, squeezing it, voice a little lower and more serious. "But... I like what you said. Taking our time, letting it just... happen? That’s nice. I don’t wanna rush you or make you feel weird. I’m just... really into you. Like, a lot."

Kronk blinked, his brows rising in astonishment before a slow, bashful smile tugged at his lips. "So... if it’s not one-sided, and we’re both cool with this... I mean, what do we do now? Should I light a candle or something?" His tone was teasing, but there was a glint of earnest hope in his eyes.

Kronk raised his hands in an apologetic sort of way, smiling wide, shoulders hunching a little. “Whoa there! Sorry about that—didn’t mean to sneak up on ya.”

He looked around the big kitchen appreciatively, eyes going a little wide at the spread of baked goods. “Wow, you’re really going all out here. Smells amazing.”

He scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. “Name’s Kronk—I’m actually supposed to be helping out today. I signed up to do prep work and help lift stuff, you know—potatoes, flour sacks, mixing bowls, whatever you need.”

He gave a goofy chuckle. He leaned a little closer. “Brought my own apron too. Has a squirrel on it. Very professional.” He straightened, hands on hips, flashing her a bright, eager grin.

“Okay, I think I have everything.” Minnie was tying her apron on, at the community kitchen that gave out free food to good causes. She had volunteered that day to bake sweets for the kitchen. Plus, when’s the next time she gets help out like this again?  Not to mention using their big fancy kitchen. She had flour smeared on her cheek, and was working on rolling out another batch of cookies. So far she has crafted banana bread, cherry berry biscuits, and sweetened sugar harvest bars. The list of what they needed seemed endless. She had music playing in the background, and was humming and dancing in place as she cut out sugar cookies. “Some sugar and some flour, and mix it into a scrumptious goo. Pop those cupcakes in the oven now.” Minnie stilled for a moment, sensing a presence behind her, and turned to greet the stranger. “I am so sorry, this kitchen is closed to everyone but volunteers. I’m going to have to ask you to come back later.”

Kronk gives Julius a friendly, reassuring grin and claps one big hand gently on his shoulder. “Hey buddy, no worries! Stars’ll do that to ya.”

He chuckles warmly. “Actually I just wanted to check on you. You seemed a little… far away, y’know? Thought maybe you needed someone to talk to. Or, uh…” He looks up at the sky thoughtfully. “I could just stand here and look at the stars with you if you want. I'm good at companionable silences. Your call!”

Julius looks up, not expecting to be touched, but it's enough to pull him from his thoughts.

"Ah?" He turns to see who it is and gives a soft smile. His gaze still seeming far away, but he's seeming coming back to himself. "Sorry, I suppose sometimes looking at the stars causes me to get lost in my thoughts. Did you want something?"

"Oh, I'm Kronk. Just Kronk." He smiled warmly at her. "What are you doing here alone?"

"Aw, who's this cute little girl?"

Hikari giggled up at Kronk. "Hi! I'm hikari! Whowe you?"
