My (Vicki’s) friend from college and we went on the 1 year Education Abroad program to Japan together 36 years ago, Kerri F. and her husband Thomas, visited us during their Hawaii trip today. I haven’t seen Kerri for 15 years when one of my sisters and I took my mom to Kerri’s son’s 5th grade class in Irvine and my mom spoke to the class about living in a Japanese American internment camp, Manzanar. Yesterday was our daughter’s future father-in-law’s Celebration of Life, held in Maryland. Vu passed away last month from brain cancer at age 53. Happy New Year 🎆🎊 but poor Mocha 🐕 😟, she’s terrified of all the fireworks 💥 in our area…and it’s not even midnight 🕛 yet. This time she even got a sedative 💊 from the vet but it doesn’t seem to help much yet. We found her hiding in our shower (!) and she usually doesn’t even like getting baths.
