Unique Experience In The Holy Land
Every country that I visited so far contains its own pride, its own beauty that we are all longing to discover. But, in my Vietnam tour, I recognized that one time being here is never enough!
For sure, in two weeks, I had plenty of time to go through the highlights, but, as you may imagine, it was too touristic at these destinations, I could point out my Hanoi city tour, Sapa tour and Ho Chi Minh city tour. Horrible! My Halong bay tour was a little more comfortable, as I saw a lot of other cruises, but shared my space with only those on my cruise. Oh, and just for your information, I stayed on the Legacy cruise, a very nice ship.
But that is just stuff from outside. What I wish to write is my fabulous experience in the “Valley of kings”. You don’t know it? Maybe, the holy land My Son is more familiar to you. Yes, the My Son tour is for half day, but the short time left in my big impressions.
One thing that always received my priority in every of my trips is the history. And this did I find in dozens here, and Vietnam to be general. From Hoi An, it was a transfer of a little more than an hour, and it was quite leisurely.
My first delight came with a traditional dance performance, a tradition, which has been remained for hundreds of years. I am a fan of those type of dancing as it reveals a lot about culture and even history.
The highlight came right at the next moment, when I was given one and an half hour to explore the ancient capital of the Champa kings, formed inside a 2-km long valley. Unfortunately, of the over 70 structures, only 25 made it through the time and are remaining. The stories, which I heard from my guide, made me understand the pride of a now minority tribe of the world. Give it a try and learn more about one of the foremost Hindu temple complex in Southeast Asia!
