it's so funny that starting season 2 flint is decommissioned as captain for like half an hour which is long enough for silver to swoop in with the prestige tv equivalent of "hey you're a loser i'm a loser and this is the loser's table therefore i'm sitting with you" and it fucking Works. he had one chance while flint was fallen from grace and he shoot his shot. and thereafter there's Captain Flint dealing with Island Politics amidst his council of other Important Established Captains. and also there's this fucking guy there. lounging in his windowsill. who are you. i'm captain's flint right hand arm.man. i'm his confidant his everything his best friend his silly rabbit his what? his silly rabbit. his silly rabbit? is that what he calls you? no (:
