I am going back to the office tomorrow and feeling a lot of feelings about it. I desperatly want to go and feel normal again but also I know it will just show me that things are not normal. I am by no means ✨healthy✨ - but it will take another few weeks to feel close to normal and I am already slowly going crazy at home.
#I haven’t done any work in four weeks and god do I feel the academic guilt#but the brain fog and inability to focus have been so real#people keep asking how I’m doing and all I can say is better?? but not good#and ngl Im so frustrated wirh my body#I know I am lucky in a lot of ways#it wasn’t cancer and I got immediate surgery and I will get better but MAN#I never really appreciated having energy#grad school

after ending up in hospital a second time (because of an infection), I spent a week at home recovering - luckily uha is a very good chill buddy ☀️

we once caught a snake on a field course and the professor reached out to grab it before quickly pulling his hand back and casually going “perhaps I should double check if its venomous”
Today my professor picked up a garter snake, said “Ow!” five times as it bit him, set it back down, and said, “Okay. That’s one defense mechanism snakes have.”

Hey I understand from your posts that your health has taken a blow and I just hope you will be okay ❤️
Hi! Yeah I’ve had a pretty big tumor removed and spent a total of 10 days in hospital. I’m still waiting on the histology, but it’s most likely benign. I did loose a lot of blood in the process and am severly anemic right now so I can’t do much, but I’m getting a little better every day :)
#it’s wild to go from a pretty full life to being happy to be able to shower on my own#I’m at my parents for now since I can’t really take care of myself#the tumor diaries

trying to get vegetarian food in this hospital is sooo much harder than it should be
#I’ve written this down in multiple places and asked#my saving grace has been my family who has brought me edible (and tasty) fiid every day#stuff with actual veggies

guess who’s back in hospital! lost enough blood to be miserable but not quite enough to warrant a blood transfusion
#really scray how fast your healthy body can just crumble away#last week I was still running biking lifting weights and bouldering and now I’m glad if I can exist without pain
