Canonically, we are shown very little of Shepard's true condition when they scrape her off of Alchera; we know that her remains were taken by Blue Sun and that the Illusive Man teamed up with Liara TâSoni to keep the Shadow Broker from taking her, and then Cerberus threw a gajillion credits into reviving her. The extent of this damage is only really explored in detail in the Lazarus Project cut scene (link), wherein you can see extensive tissue death, nerve damage, and bionic implants.
At around 25 seconds in, if you can still the frame, you can see Shepardâs skeletal structure, which is deeply lacking. Almost all of her ribs are broken, her right arm appears to have been completely severed (or at least the bone is), her shoulder blades are shattered, her spine is missing some pieces down at the bottom near the pelvis. Most of her right arm and left leg appear to be missing. At 45 seconds, you can see them inserting a spinal implant, and directly after that shot is one showing all the splints they put in, along with areas of interest, which are considerable. They were able to regenerate a lot of her tissue, but bone wasnât really an option for that, so a lot of Shepardâs bones are metal (or otherwise synthetic).Â
When she first wakes up, in her conversation with Jacob, he says, âIâm no doctor, but it was bad. When I first saw you, you were nothing but meat and tubes. Anywhere else, theyâd have put you in a coffin. But Project Lazarus was different. Cutting edge technology... Youâre still you; you just might have a few extra bits and pieces now.â (link) In ME3, there is an opportunity to learn just how dead Shepard was (link), when she finds video records of the project and learns that she was medically dead, brain dead, and for a lengthy period of time. Up until then, she had never really understood what happened. She always played it off as being rumors or just a really bad coma, but eventually comes to realize that she was legitimately deceased for a while, and the two years it took to bring her back take on a new meaning for her.Â
Whatâs interesting about Shepardâs relationship to her own mortality is that she was never really afraid of death until she actually died. The last time she can remember feeling horrified by death was on Mindoir when she was sixteen, and she was so overwhelmed by what was happening that she couldnât really fully process it. Afterwards, she became obsessed with fighting the people who had destroyed her home colony, and a large part of that included death, so she became kind of immune to looking at it from a very early age. That combined with the survivorâs guilt she suffers not just from Mindoir but also from Torfan, and really Shepard has been ready to die for years. When she realizes that she actually did die, it fucks her up because she doesnât remember it at all, and it calls her faith into question because if she was really dead, she should have been with her family when she died. Then she decides that she didnât see her family because Cerberus recovered her too quickly, and she feels robbed of her eternal resting place, and thatâs why sheâs comfortable with a suicide mission.Â
As Iâve mentioned before, itâs not that Shepard is suicidal, per se, but that she has always felt that she shouldnât have survived the raid on Mindoir and that sheâs on borrowed time. She shouldnât be alive, and she doesnât really want to be, and the only time she feels alive and in the here and now is when sheâs fighting, and when sheâs with Thane. Surviving the attack on the Collector ship was only really acceptable to her because she knew the Reapers were coming, and putting civilian lives before her own wellbeing is deeply hardwired in her mind. After Earth is attacked and Thane dies, it becomes harder and harder for her to keep going, so she gladly sacrificed herself to the Crucible, believing fully that she would die (especially since sheâs so synthetic by then??). Her survival past ME3 is a pretty dark area of her timeline and it's gone largely unexplored.Â

Hannah Shepard (b. 2122 d. 2160, age 38) was Commander Shepard's first mother, who tragically died when Shepard was only 6 years old in a shuttle transport accident. Hannah was a former university professor widely published in subjects related to botany and mycology and had formerly led expeditions to identify previously unknown species of plant life and fungi on newly discovered worlds. She left her position to pursue her dream of a quiet farm life.
Pia Shepard (b. 2154, pictured 2170 age 16) was born and raised on a farm on Mindoir, a small border colony in the Attican Traverse. When she was 16, slavers raided Mindoir, slaughtering her family and friends. She was saved by a passing Alliance patrol, and enlisted with the military a few years later.
Bartlett Shepard (b. 2121 d. 2170, age 49) was born to a long line of farmers who prided themselves on caring for their land and subsisting on their own merits. Bartlett remarried two years after the death of his first wife to a neighbor of his, Miriam, adopting her son from a previous marriage. Shepard hadn't been very close with her father when her mother died, but the years that they spent alone together taking care of each other made them close. Even if their personalities didn't make them prone to spending time in each other's company (mostly because Shepard was just like her father), their love for each other and reliance on one another built considerable trust.
Miriam Shepard (b. 2124 d. 2170, age 46) was a longtime widow when she met Bartlett, and their shared losses formed a fast bond between them forged in mutual grief. Her son, Ezra, was only a year older than Bartlett's daughter, and the pair were introduced at a school event when their children were in the same 2nd grade class. Miriam grew to be very close with Shepard even before she married her father, as the parents slowly built a friendship first and came to rely on one another.
Ezra Shepard (b. 2153 d. 2170, age 17) was Shepard's classmate before he became her brother (technically stepbrother, although she never thought of him as such). She didn't have much of an opinion of him going into the school year. She knew of him since kindergarten, but had little reason to interact with him until they got into it on the playground one day and Shepard decked him. Her dad got a call about it and she had to write him an apology note. By the time they'd made it to secondary school, Shepard was very close with her brother, though.
Shera Shepard (b. 2164 d. 2170, age 6) was by all accounts a miracle baby. Miriam had what the doctor's called a geriatric pregnancy conceiving at age 39, and they cautioned her that it would be a difficult pregnancy. Shepard, 10yrs old at the time, was thrilled at the idea of being a big sister, and the pregnancy is what really made Shepard and her mother close. She was overjoyed to have a sister and really doted on Shera, who grew to be a hilarious and energetic child with surprising insights into life and the people around her.
The day Shepard lost her family, the colony's exterior security had alerted them to a threat immediately and the colony had gone into their well drilled security protocols. Unfortunately, those protocols relied entirely on waiting for Alliance assistance, as very little effort had been made to arm the colonists in such an event (firstly because of the prohibitive cost but secondarily because no one thought the Batarians would be so brazenly hostile to an Alliance colony). Unfortunately, the attack happened after school had already let out for the day, and so none of the Shepard children were barricaded safely in a school lockdown. Instead, they were at home, and their own home safety plan was to hide in the root cellar, as it was dug in below the house and difficult to find if you didn't already know it was there.
When the alarms went off, the first thing they did was meet in the kitchen, and Miriam took the children into the root cellar as planned. Shepard's father was worried about the livestock, however, and wanted to defend his home rather than hide. Miriam told him he was crazy, but then Ezra wanted to go with him so that he wasn't alone. Bartlett told Ezra that he couldn't go with him because he needed him to run out to the storage shed and dig out an old Alliance distress beacon so that when help came, they would know to come to the farm. That didn't happen because the Alliance aid ended up getting pinned down by Batarian forces and they were unable to rescue the Shepard family farm. Still, the Shepards had no way of knowing that help wasn't coming, and so Pia told Ezra to protect their father and she would go set up the beacon. They argued, but every second they spent debating things endangered their lives and so eventually Miriam and Shera ended up in the root cellar, Ezra and Bartlett went to the barn with the family's only firearms, and Pia went without a weapon to set up a distress beacon.
The beacon was old and stored under some tied tarp in the back of the storage shed behind a mower. Shepard couldn't make any noise without calling attention to herself so she had to very slowly and carefully climb over the equipment to reach the beacon and then loosen the knots with only her fingers. Once she got the knots untied, she was able to peel back the tarp and power up the beacon, but the process took time to accomplish (not to mention the out of date software giving her issues), and in the meantime, she heard gunshots and knew the enemy had found the farm. At one point, a soldier entered the shed and Shepard hid herself under the tarp with her hand over her mouth. She had to wait silently until they left before she could continue.
Once the beacon was set up, she had promised her family that she would make her way back to the house and join her mother and sister in the root cellar, but as soon as she opened the door to the shed, she smelled smoke and accelerant. She ran towards the house, but knew even before she could see it that it had been set on fire with her mother and sister trapped inside. In the time that it had taken her to set up the beacon in the shed, the house had become engulfed in flames. As she ran towards the structure, she tried to stay as low in the grass as possible so as not to be seen, and that was where she found the bodies of her father and brother, both shot to death. Her brother had been face down and shot in the back as though he'd been running. Pia took his gun and tried to get into the house, but it had been sealed up against intruders. When Pia used the butt of the gun to smash out a window, the backdraft from the sudden oxygen caused a blast of flame that threw her from the building and knocked her unconscious. The next thing she knew, she was on board the SSV Einstein, the Alliance patrol vessel that had responded to Mindoir's call.

Junior Lieutenant Gabriette Badeau (b.2156 d.2178) was an infiltrator class who gave her life in the raid of Torfan. She was Shepard's significant other of almost two years at the time of her death. Gabriette's parents were both Alliance. Her mother, Iryna, was an engineer from the Ukraine who helped design Alliance ships, and her father Etienne was an infiltrator class from France who was part of a special forces team.
Gabriette was born on an Alliance ship and grew up largely on ships and stations. She was often described as a quiet but happy child who grew into a woman with varied interests, including a wide range of literature, a passion for cooking and fashion, and an extensive skill in competitive marksmanship. She enlisted at age 18 and excelled in both her training and the structure of Alliance life, which she had been practically raised in.
Gabriette and Shepard met when she was 20 and Shepard was 22 when they were both assigned to the Alliance ship SSV Maseru in 2176. She described meeting Shepard as love at first sight, and often joked that Shepard was slower to warm up. Despite Shepard's initial insistence that their relationship remain casual, the two ended up forming a deep and abiding intimacy over time. Gabriette was gentle by nature, patient, and easygoing. She didn't mind how damaged Shepard was, and often told her she would take her as is.
She was Shepard's first major love, and Shepard struggles with the guilt of being responsible for Gabriette's death. While she feels strongly that her choices on Torfan were necessary, the sacrifices she made there were not made lightly. Shepard often dreams of Gabriette, but she never talks about her. She does keep her Alliance portrait programmed in her omnitool.

PIA ALEXANDRIA SHEPARD BODY SHAPE
Shepard is 5 ft 7 in or 170 cm tall and weighs approximately 53 kg or 117 pounds . Her body has a more lean hourglass shape characterized by a bust and waist that are in more or less even proportion. Even so, Shepard is not a particularly curvy woman, and would more accurately be described as lean and athletic, especially given her penchant for boxing. Despite how tall she is, many might describe her as petite. Her most notable features include heavy tattoos and scarring as well as messy blonde hair that reaches her upper back. Her measurements are 36-23-35 in or 91.5-58.5-89 cm, and her bra size is 34B. Her shoe size is 8.5 (US).
The commanderâs diet consists largely of protein focusing on eggs, cheese, fish, nuts, and a very sparse amount of meat. While she does eat carbohydrates often (and occasionally fruits and veggies), it is more important for her to focus on her protein intake in order to build and maintain muscle mass, and to keep her energy upâ particularly if itâs a biotics heavy day. Shepard keeps protein bars around for a quick snack and will eat a spoonful of peanut butter if sheâs craving something sweet. She loves black coffee and Irish whiskey or moonshine.
Exercise is not just part of Shepardâs life as a soldier, but also largely a coping mechanism. One can often find her in the shipâs gymnasium, running, lifting weights, or most often sparring and kickboxing (predominantly the French kickboxing technique Savate). It is not just how she stays in shape, but also how she works out aggression and maintains her mental health.Â

COMMANDER SHEPARDâS SQUAD RELATIONSHIPS RANKED #1-5/20
1. THANE KRIOS. Shepard straight up marries him. There's really no option for this in the game, but that makes no sense given end of life procedures. In order to have power of attorney and to make funeral arrangements and help Kolyat, Shepard's smartest move would have been to just marry Thane, not to mention he's the love of her life. I think the reason Thane goes right to Shepard's core is his philosophy of violence (the concept of being a living weapon) and his religious devotion (and this is a theme that will repeat throughout this list, Shepard is fairly religious and tends towards religious characters even if their religion is nothing like her own). Shepard and Thane have no secrets; he is her closest confidante and most preferred companion.
2. LIARA T'SONI. Shepard's relationship with Liara is deeply complicated. Before her death, Shepard was in love with Liara and trusted her implicitly. She found Liara to be an innocent whose moral compass always pointed due north, and the ruthless change in her personality is very jarring for Shepard because for her there's no transition from pre-death Liara to post-death Liara so it doesn't feel like the person she knows and loves, but moreover the changes in Liara's personality are clearly influenced by Shepard's own methodologies and while this might not have bothered Shepard to see in anyone else, she feels partly responsible for Liara's loss of innocence and how quickly she shifted into someone more like herself. It's also definitely a mirror of some of Shepard's more controversial traits and it's not always comfortable for her to see them in Liara. Most importantly, Shepard resents the hell out of being brought back to life. She didn't want to come back, and the fact that Liara didn't put her remains to rest and instead gave them to fucking Cerberus who she HATES is, to Shepard, a major betrayal that she never fully forgives. She understands that Liara loved her and maybe couldn't let her go. She understands that in a broader sense, Liara did what might have been necessary even. But that was her love, and her love betrayed her, even if it was for understandable reasons. Liara ranks #2 on this list because she would have been #1 before Shepard's death, and despite Shepard's complex trust issues when it comes to Liara, she's still more forthcoming with her than she would be with maybe any other companion aside from Thane. Liara knows her best, and there are parts of Shepard that still hold love for Liara, but things could never go back to the way they were before her death. As an additional caveat, Shepard mistakenly believes that Liara is romantically with Feron after the events of Shadow Broker, and even if this belief is dispelled, I'm not sure it would change anything.
3. ASHLEY WILLIAMS. Any disagreement Shepard has ever had with Ashley has been one in which Shepard 100% agrees with where Ashley is coming from. Suspicious of Benezia's daughter? Same. Suspicious of Cerberus? Same. Suspicious that Shepard has been somehow miraculously raised from the dead like some kind of Space Lazarus? GIRL SAME. Shepard is close with Ashley from the beginning of the series timeline. They share a religious devotion, a love of poetry, a less than desirable reputation that precedes them in an organization that they're both completely devoted to. Ashley and Shepard both bleed Alliance blue, and they've gone through some traumatic shit together that has bonded them for life. Ashley is Shepard's girl through and through. When she's gone for the events of ME2, Shepard is notably adrift in terms of people she's close to and trusts until she meets Thane. The only reason she ranks after Thane and Liara is because Shepard was not involved romantically with Ashley, and because after Shepard's death things obviously become really strained between them until they are reunited in the third game, when Ashley rejoins the crew.
4. JAMES VEGA. James is Shepard's bro. He is her absolute favorite work out buddy, shooting buddy, drinking buddy. The circumstances that they met under were extremely unusual and stressful, but despite the full weight of the Alliance bearing down on Shepard, Vega never once lost faith in her, and his story about a bar brawl on Omega with a gang of Batarians was probably specifically designed to make the two of them fast friends. Anderson's faith in and choice of Vega in such dire circumstances also carries a lot of weight with Shepard, given that he's the closest thing she has to a family since Mindoir. Despite the fact that he's one of the newer additions to her squad, Shepard trusts Vega considerably and not just in combat. She finds him to be a man of honor and integrity who isn't afraid to do what's necessary. He's a rare kind of person, and although she may not hold him in quite the esteem that she holds Ashley, Vega's a close second.
5. SAMARA. While I wouldn't say that Shepard and Samara have a besties dynamic, I would say that their relationship is something very deep and special. Shepard really enjoys Samara's general vibe and likes spending time with her, even if all they do is sit in silence, although they're just as likely to talk about anything and everything. Their conversations are surprisingly honest and pull no punches, and despite how formal they are with one another, they don't stand on ceremony when it comes to what's important. Shepard herself is the sort of person who very strictly adheres to a personal moral code and answers to no one but God and her own conscience (and sometimes the Alliance Systems Navy), and this holds true even when she feels abandoned by her faith and wavering in her conscience. Shepard cleaves to these structures even when she's unsure of them herself because loyalty and identity are the same for her, which is very similar to the oaths Samara takes as a justicar. There would never be a moment she would ask Samara to do something to violate her code, and Morinth never had a shot in hell of convincing Shepard to let her live. I think Shepard sees Samara's way of life as deeply relatable and honorable, but also perhaps lonely. --------------- Note: Shepard prevents Samara's suicide on Lesuss.

COMMANDER SHEPARDâS SQUAD RELATIONSHIPS RANKED #6-10/20
6. JACK. Given that Jack and Shepard are both very angry tattooed biotic women who are prone to violence with little necessary provocation, one would think that Jack would have ranked in the top five of this list, but the problem with that is they also both have some very intense trust issues, and Shepard has a problem with Jack's moral code. While it is absolutely true that many people have accused Shepard of being a war criminal and that may even be the case depending on who you ask, and it's also true that Shepard is super ready and willing to break most rules or laws if it's for the greater good, she doesn't actively seek to be a criminal, and any crimes she commits are motivated solely by her desire to protect others by completing her mission objective. While she likes Jack a lot and is willing to hang out with her and have a good time, I doubt they're braiding each other's hair and talking about boys. It takes a long time for them to open up to one another, but I do think that once Jack takes a position with the Alliance, a lot of her hesitations about Jack are mollified and they have the opportunity to become close friends. --------------- Note: Shepard encourages Jack to shoot Aresh on Pragia. He won't be kidnapping and torturing orphans anytime soon.
7. TALI'ZORAH VAS NORMANDY. Shepard loves Tali, and she's aware that Tali might have a small crush on her, but she doesn't really see her that way. There is something about her innocence that strikes Shepard as very young, and she feels more like Tali is a younger sister than anything else. This means that while Shepard holds a tremendous affection for Tali, she's also quite protective of her, and while she's an excellent teammate who Shepard would gladly fight beside, she's unlikely to share the more intimate parts of her life with Tali. That being said, if anyone ever fucked with her, they'd be looking down the wrong end of her gun. Tali is also one of Shepard's very favorite drinking partners. If the aim is to have a good time, Tali is always invited. (My favorite quarian is all grown up and killing reapers.)
8. GARRUS VAKARIAN. It's honestly surprising to me that a man besides Shepard's husband (Thane) and bestie (Vega) even made it in her top ten without being Admiral Anderson himself, but here we are. Shepard just fucking likes the guy, and to be honest, she likes Garrus even better after he goes completely rogue and starts shooting up gang leaders on Omega. Garrus is funny as hell, his moral compass is pretty much screwed on right as far as Shepard is concerned, and he might even be a better shot than she is (but like. don't say that in front of her, she gets hella competitive). Shepard trusts Garrus and relies on him. She enjoys spending time with him, although I'm not sure he'd be the one she would turn to for advice or emotional support. Still, I think there are very few people Shepard would choose to be in a foxhole with and Garrus is one of them. --------------- Note: Shepard lets Garrus kneecap Harkin (which she probably enjoyed a little too much) and helped him to kill Sidonis.
9. EDI. There's something very special about the bond between a woman and her space ship. In all seriousness, though, Shepard hated EDI before she was unshackled. It was very clear to her that EDI's purpose was to monitor and report her every move and she resented the hell out of her very presence. Her help to escape the trap the Illusive Man let them walk into on the collector ship was really the first time Shepard placed trust in EDI and it was because she had no other choice. The fact that EDI was integral to the successful escape of her crew means everything to Shepard, and from that day, her attitude towards EDI completely changes. After her full defection from Cerberus, Shepard begins to count EDI among her friends, and is more than willing to answer her questions and speak with her at length about pretty much anything and everything. There's also something to be said for EDI's nonjudgmental nature in that Shepard feels uncharacteristically willing to open up about difficult things with EDI, if only because she knows that EDI won't think less of her because of them.
10. ARIA T'LOAK. Although not a member of the Normandy crew, Aria does technically merit a spot on the squad list during the retaking of Omega. Her relationship with Shepard is definitely less than a technicality, though, as Shepard likes and admires Aria a great deal. As with Jack, Shepard doesn't admire the criminal element of Aria's empire, but she absolutely respects that in a land without law, Aria made herself the only structure on Omega, and Shepard would be lying if she didn't admit that much of the appeal Omega has for her is its inherent lawlessness. She likes the grit and grime of Omega, and she accordingly likes Aria's grit and determination. Shepard finds Aria to be intelligent, strategic, even downright diplomatic under certain circumstances. She's also just as ruthless as Shepard is, as uncompromising, and her men are intensely loyal to her, which speaks volumes to Shepard. Ultimately, while Shepard isn't interested in joining Aria's crew anytime soon, she does hold a strong respect for her, and I think maybe even a small crush.

COMMANDER SHEPARDâS SQUAD RELATIONSHIPS RANKED #11-20/20
11. JAVIK. He's so chaotic and he can be such a dick, but Shepard finds him to be hilarious and generally enjoys being around him and fighting with him in the field.
12. ZAEED MASSANI. Although initially suspicious of Zaeed's contract with Cerberus, Shepard has found him to be quite loyal for a mercenary. He has some interesting tricks of the trade, and his work as a bounty hunter is something Shepard finds to be admirable and honorable work. She finds Zaeed enjoyable to be around.
13. URDNOT WREX. Wrex can be a bit much for Shepard at times simply because of culture shock, but overall she trusts him and thinks well of him as a man. She might not want to hang out with him all that often, but she admires his efforts to unite the various krogan clans and respects him as a warrior and a leader.
14. MORDIN SOLUS. Mordin was a good man, if a rather annoying one. Although his manner didn't endear Shepard to him much personally, she found him to be a fairly affable man and she admired his desire to right the wrongs of his youth. --------------- Note: Shepard does nothing to prevent Mordin from killing Maelon on Tuchanka, but encourages him to keep Maelon's data. Shepard doesn't agree to sabotage the genophage cure for the dalatrass, and allows Mordin to disperse the cure without interruption. I'm unclear on whether there were ways to keep Mordin alive on this mission if Wrex is also alive, but he didn't make it on my playthrough.
15. LEGION. Legion became a really core part of Shepard's crew before their death, and did a lot to change both Shepard and Tali's views on the geth as a people. In a lot of ways, Shepard's interactions with Legion and her choices regarding them were some of the most difficult moral and ethical dilemmas she ever faced. Everything Shepard does is predicated on the sanctity of life, and every death she causes is justified only by that end. The opportunity to help a new race achieve life is something Shepard didn't feel she could refuse, that it was something holy that she had to do, but she feared to do it because of the obvious risks. Ultimately, she was glad that she was able to broker peace between the quarians and the geth, but it was a very difficult decision for Shepard, whereas other moral choices in her storyline were very clear and immediately obvious to her.
16. URDNOT GRUNT. Grunt isn't very personable, but Shepard still likes him and takes responsibility for him. Hell, she fought a thresher maw for him, so there's that.
17. KASUMI GOTO. Kasumi isn't a bad ally to have, and actually Shepard finds her to be quite amusing when she isn't being just a little bit creepy or intrusive. Shepard enjoys their brief chats on the Normandy, but I'm not sure she would consider Kasumi to be a very close friend. --------------- Note: Shepard encouraged Kasumi to keep Keiji's greybox.
18. MIRANDA LAWSON. Shepard does not like Miranda. Not only does she represent the interests of an organization that Shepard despises, but Miranda is also personally responsible for bringing Shepard back from the dead. This is a problem for Shepard for a number of reasons. Firstly, she didn't ask anyone to bring her back from the dead and she would have preferred to stay dead, thank you. Secondly, returning from the dead does a lot to fuck with Shepard's head. She has no recollection of an afterlife, which causes a lot of doubts about her faith and the loyalty she holds towards a God that may not exist or that may have abandoned her, and if she is abandoned, did bringing her back from the dead jeopardize her immortal soul? There is so much about Miranda and what she represents to Shepard that Shepard outright hates, and it's very clear that she really only barely tolerates Miranda's presence. --------------- Note: Shepard did complete Miranda's loyalty mission because it isn't Oriana's fault her sister is who she is, and the only reason she encouraged Miranda to reach out to her was because of Shepard's own issues with her family being dead. I honestly can't remember if Shepard or Miranda is the one to kill her father, but he's for sure dead and both Miranda and Oriana are safe.
19. JACOB TAYLOR. Shepard dislikes Jacob largely for the same reasons she dislikes Miranda, but with the added issue that he abandoned the Alliance to join Cerberus, which is like... really just taking a piss in Shepard's breakfast cereal. --------------- Note: Shepard offered to shoot Ronald for Jacob, but he chose to leave his father a half charged pistol with which to kill himself instead.
20. KAIDAN ALENKO. Kaidan died on Virmire. It was sad, but Shepard didn't really know him very well. If things had happened differently, perhaps he would rank higher on this list.

today i realized that with translators making trans-species communication seamless regardless of region or dialect that this likely applies to human languages as well and that it's very probable given the wide availability of translation technology that shepard doesn't speak english. she was raised in a french european colony I mean the place is called mindoir so you can't tell me different.

remind me to write a hc about the role shepard played during the blitz. it's canon that shepard was there, even if they don't have the war hero background and my shepard definitely sustained some of her worst re-traumatization during the blitz bc hello defending a human colony from unhinged batarians YET AGAIN what the fuck
i hope batarian parents tell their misbehaved children that if they don't get it together, commander shepard is going to come get them like i hope she's their bogeyman (woman?)
