uhhhhhhhhh I was supposed to post this a while ago, so here's a concept that. Pete dragged Joshie to a house party and ditched Joshie after seeing a cute girl. Joshie sat alone in the backyard getting away from the loud noise, weird lighting, and stench. Later that night, Pete begged Bill to go on a drinks for the party and Bill reluctantly agreed. Bill put the beers in the kitchen, and noticing Joshie outside, Bill decided to make fun of her. They have a pithy little spat, but before Bill would be able to leave in all his smugness after having won an argument, Joshie grabs his arm and says "please don't leave," breaking past Bill's meta irony for a second and Bill sighs in annoyance taking Joshie on a short walk back to Bill's shitty apartment were they argued for 3 hours and took a nap on the floor from exhaustion.

Dumb JoshJer GZEltingville drabble

Joshie had always been unlucky. An unfortunate young girl far removed from those around her, instilled within her was a fear taught by her elders and hatred taught by those who hated her. The outside world was a labyrinth, indecipherable nonsense to which she had little interest in. Conversation among peers was equally outside of her purview, as the secret codes to which the other, understands the world through was inaccessible to her. Unlike those who spoke in codes, she did not live within the four walls that were declared her space upon her arrival in this world, she didn’t even live in the body that was forced upon her by some cruel creator, the only thing she could lay claim to was her brain and her true body, that of html and css forged from a mighty tomb the elders gifted her upon her 9th birthday. From then on she had unknowingly been cursed with that which brought her the most joy and the most anguish. Her first love, brought about by similar passions and short bursts of unplanned creativity, had been an artist by the name of ryuu. Joshie was quite infatuated with this account, ryuu had left a supportive comment on her journal entry, only to come back with fanart, proof of their allegiance to her.

(okay so from here it's supposed to timeskip to Joshie still friends with ryuu but she's also friends with Jerry separately. Jerry's kinda kicking himself over being cringe on the ryuu acc at an early age even though Joshie's the only one who remembers how young ryuu acted back then. Jerry likes Joshie's writing but won't admit it. If this were a full fic Jerry learns to be honest with himself and act a little more cringe, and Joshie learns to hold back a bit on the internet, they're in a healthier place but still morally fucked. Or the opposite where Jerry takes advantage of Joshie's neediness and convinces her that he's the only one that would ever like her, platonically or romantically, Joshie feeds into Jerry's egotism and Jerry has her delete all her accounts and leaves her isolated from everyone.)

(they're both similar variations on the same concepts so I'm kinda debating on which one is better?) More in depth explanations Option 1: When college starts, Pete and Josh get into a situationship but because Pete is emotionally withdrawn and because he doesn't want to put a label on their relationship in fear of ruining something, Josh unsure of where he stands. He meets Rodney, someone who looks oh so similar to Pete and who gives him that emotional attention he craves and things fall apart as Pete either learns to open up or loses Josh to some pretentious film school asshole. (I think the crackship energy is fun here) Option 2: Josh and Bill spend a lot of time together because they're close friends, they don't like to acknowledge it because it feels gay but they know each other the best. Pete has an inferiority complex and hates the way Josh thinks of Bill as clever and charming, when Bill's just a nerd with a silver tongue. Pete takes it out on Josh.(honestly, probably best described by: "I wish Bill were here" Josh chuckled watching two middle aged men fight over comics "He'd know what to do," Pete hated that look of admiration, he's never had anything to himself and the idea that Josh looked at anyone else with such unadulterated affection caused a muscle in Pete's Jaw to tighten.)
