Project Level Up

May 2024 Update

Level 1 - Vieve The Ninetease Palette and Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Bronze

Vieve Palette - Skimp and Dial Up have definite dips forming! I use Phase every time I wear eyeshadow yet the pan still looks fairly new! I think it might be the brush I'm using.

Bobbi Brown Stick - Pacing myself with this one so I've only used it twice, really like the tone of it!

May 2024 Update

Month 2 has gone really well! I've hit pan on another product, expanded the pan on others but I'm struggling with some of the powder products!

I cannot believe how much I prefer this budget bronzer compared to the Charlotte Tilbury one! It's nice and sheer which is great for building up, and the tone is perfectly neutral.

🫳 Minimalist Ceramics Moisturiser - good for the price, didn't wow me though

Another 10 empties in May - 5 skincare, 3 body and 2 makeup. So we're up to 50 in total, 26 skincare, 6 makeup, 13 body products and 5 hair products! I now only have to empty 10 products to hit my goal!

✅ Batiste Dry Shampoo - a holy grail of mine!

🫳Soap and Glory Clean on Me Shower Gel (not pictured) - I love the smell of this and it's a great body wash, but I suffer with "Bacne" and this aggravates it - I think it's the fragrance 😭

❌Skin Proud Cleansing Balm - this does a fab job of getting rid of makeup, but it is so difficult to emulsify and rinse off.

❌ Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser - it was fine, just not my type of product at all!

❌ Grown Alchemist Exfoliator - I don't use physical exfoliators on my face so instead I tried it on my back - it didn't really do much and I didn't like the fragrance.

10 empties in April - 6 skincare, 3 body and 1 hair product. So we're up to 40 in total, 21 skincare, 4 makeup, 10 body products and 5 hair products! I'm now two thirds of the way to my goal - once I've hit 60 I'll definitely be increasing the number of empties I want to have this year!

Project Level Up

April 2024 Update

Level 1 - Vieve The Ninetease Palette and Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Bronze

I managed to use every shade in the Vieve palette once in April which I'm thrilled with. I've been loving using Phase in my crease, Skimp on the lid and then Dial Up all over the lid as a natural every day look. One of these will definitely be the pan!

I've also decided to add a single shadow to this project. I have quite a few single eyeshadows which are not getting much love whilst I focus on one palette, so I decided that for every level of the project I'll also add a single eyeshadow and set a usage goal, to keep things interesting for me and to get some more usage of my other products.

So Level 1's single eyeshadow is the Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Bronze, with a goal of using it 10 times. I used it once in April.

Project 10 Pan

April 2024 Update

Month one of my new Project 10 Pan has gone amazingly well! I've taken the month to decide what my goals will be for each product, which has allowed me to get a feeling for what i love and what I'm panning for the sake of it which is never fun!

I've hit pan on 3(!) products which will be detailed below, and one has already left the project - I'm thrilled!

I like this but I don't love it on its own so I've been using it with other foundations which has worked well for me. Not much visible progress yet.

I thought this would be the item I hit pan on first, but sadly not yet! I'm hoping to hit pan in May.

Since I purchased this I've been stuck in a cycle of wondering why I'm not using it more, using it and hating it, then forgetting I own it. I'm really disappointed because for the price it's just not that good - I found it to be patchy and the tone is just slightly off. So I decided that once I hit pan I would allow myself to declutter it, I just wasn't expecting that to happen so soon!

I'll be swapping in my Studio London Cream Bronzer for May.

My second surprise pan swiftly followed the first! I'm actually obsessed with this powder, I actually prefer it to the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder! I didn't use it much before the project so it definitely gets used up quickly.

This is going to take ages to hit pan on, which is why I'm not aiming to finish it. This is the only single powder bronzer I currently own, but I have a few in face palettes I want to start using so I'm eager to use this one up first! Looks like there's been no progress though...

✨Too Faced Cloud Crush Blush in Shade Golden Hour✨

Goal - Finish

Against my better judgement I decided to try and finish this blush, and I haven't even got rid of the logo yet! I love this blush so much though, it won't be too much of a burden to use it.

You need so little of this highlighter that it's gonna take ages to pan! I think there definitely been some small progress since last month though.

My "easy" pan, this is going to be gone in no time! I've already used about a third, maybe even half in a month, so by summer I think I'll have finished it.

Project Level Up

To try and get use of all my eyeshadow palettes, I'm trying a Project "Level Up". To start, I'll choose a palette and use every shade once, and hit pan on 1 shade. Once I've done this I'll choose a new palette and use every shade twice, and hit pan on 2 shades. This will continue until I've made my way through all my palettes!

My first palette is the Vieve Ninetease Palette! I haven't had this one long but I'm already obsessed. I think I'll be hitting pan on either Skimp or Phase, but we'll see!

Project 10 Pan - Back on the Wagon!

I'm back! After Christmas I fell off the Project Pan Wagon considerably, and it's time I fell back in love with panning and shopping my stash again!

I've had a huge declutter and have selected my first 10 products. As before, the project is only over once the original 10 are finished/panned. I'll rotate in new products as I finish the original ones, and I'll be doing a "Level Up" Project for my eyeshadow collection.

❌ Drunk Elephant Beste No 9 Cleanser - I just don't understand the hype with this one, it's so average for the price. I much prefer CeraVe!

8 more empties - 3 skincare, 1 body product and 4 hair products! So we're up to 30 in total, 15 skincare, 4 makeup, 7 body products and 4 hair products! I'm half way to my goal - maybe I should have been more ambitious!

February 2024

In January I emptied 13/60 products - 8 Skincare, 2 Makeup and 3 Body products. I was really pleased with this, and I'm thrilled with my February empties as well!

🫳 The Essence Vault 827 Perfume (Dupe for Chloe - I think!) I liked this but it didn't wow me, I'd purchase other perfumes over this one.

❌ The Essence Vault 17 Perfume (Dupe for Marc Jacobs Daisy) it smells very similar to Daisy, but the scent does not last on me at all.

9 more empties - 4 skincare, 2 makeup and 3 body products! So we're up to 22 in total, 12 skincare, 4 makeup and 6 body products. So I'm over a third of the way there in terms of my goal!

2024 Empties Project

January 2024

I must be a glutton for punishment, because I've decided to start another "project" this year - tracking my empties!

More than anything I'm just curious about how many products I go through in a year, so I can hopefully start understanding how long it actually takes to finish things! I'm going to be tracking makeup, skincare, haircare and body care items and by 31st December 2024 I would like to have emptied...

60 products!

This equates to about 5 per month which I think is doable! I also want to keep tabs on what I liked so I don't waste money when it comes to repurchasing. A ✅ means I would repurchase, 🫳 means I might repurchase and ❌ means I would not repurchase.

❌ Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream - A nice moisturizer but so overpriced and I have others I prefer.

Final Project Pan Monthly Update for 2023

I've decided that I'll be refreshing my Project 10 Pan for 2024! A post with the updated products is coming in the new year, so below is my final update for all the products in my 2023 project, including which ones will be carried over and the ones I finished this month!

Product 1 - Ultra Violette Daydream Screen Tinted Veil in V1

I think I'll be decluttering this once I've finished my Iconic London skin tint that I pair it with. It's definitely oxidizing quite a bit so I had a look at the bottle and turns out it expires 12 months after opening - mine has definitely been open longer than that! I'm not sure I'd repurchase even though I do like it, it's just expensive for what it is.

Product 2 - Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish in shade 1 - Fair

I only swapped this in last month so I'll be carrying it over to the 2024 project. So far I'm really enjoying it! Really natural looking and I'm obsessed with how well it works on my eyelids.

Product 3 - Fenty Beauty Freestyle Bronzing Cream in Butta Biscuit

I'm determined to finish this bronzer this year! The pan has definitely grown so I'm hoping it'll be all gone in a few months time!

Product 4 - Nars Mini The Multiple Blush Stick in Orgasm

I was so pleased to finally see the end of this product in December, although I was actually a little sad too! I don't think I'd repurchase this as I did find it could be a bit chunky and not very smooth, but I'm so happy to have panned my first ever highlighter!

Product 5 - Nars Mini Powder Blush in Orgasm

This blush just will not end, but I am determined to finish it this year so it's remaining in my Project, even if I am a bit bored of it! I think another 6 months and it'll be finished.

Another item that was only added last month so I'll be carrying it over to the 2024 project. However my aim will be to hit pan, rather than finish completely, because I don't want another Nars Blush situation!

This powder is not going down as quickly as I thought, but I'd love to finish it over the coming months!

Another one bites the dust! I probably could have got a couple more uses out of it by cutting the tube but that would make such a mess I decided it wasn't worth it. The first blush I've ever fully finished! Very excited to move on to another one now though.

I think this will be all gone by the end of January, so I'll be carrying it over to finish it once and for all! I do really love this skin tint though, such a good colour for me and quite natural too.

The way this spins in the pan drives me insane! It can be so hard to get a grip on it to extract enough powder, and expand the pan! I think this month there's been more noticeable progress though.

As you may have seen, I'm starting another project for my eyeshadow collection as I have way too many and focusing on one palette is not allowing me to play around with them! I adore this Iconic London palette and it will definitely be making a comeback at some point.
