i miss early arc naming because it’s like. ok they wrote down the allegiances not really expecting to extend this series much. someone just took a bong hit and wrote down halftail and deadfoot and crookedstar and whatever. and then wc got Long and they retroactively had to just make up reasons for these characters being named that. which is funny both in terms of ‘they had to work backwards for crookedstars backstory and they ended up making one of the most tragic characters in all of wc’ and ‘watsonianly if you get old enough in bluestar era thunderclan she starts calling you slurs, something never done before or after her leadership’

what is with the mental gymnastics people do to justify how crowfeather treats his son. it's not even a case of messy writing, po3 is hammering the reader over the head that breezepelt is being abused and it is important set up for how he gets indoctrinated into the dark forest. that's author intention baby.
