the overwhelming grief of losing an entire year to sickness, violence and pandemic fatigue is settling in so id like to remind everyone that: you are not a failure, yes there is still a happy future for you, and wearing a mask is very sexy
ATTENTION ARTISTS: Need help calculating your commission prices?
A tool that I’ve found is really handy is a called the Cash Clock. It’s a simple program that measures both the time that you’re working on a piece as well as how much money you should be earning. You can adjust the hourly wage to whatever you feel is right. Simply start the clock whenever you begin working on a project right up until you’re finished. It can give you a clear indication of what you should charge for commissions.
No artist should make below minimum wage for their artwork.

UK followers, the government is doing a review into getting rid of gender neutral toilets.
Obviously this would be a nightmare for many people, but it’s obviously meant to hurt trans people.
There’s an email template from We Exist London to send with comments supporting the need for gender neutral toilets here.
I’ve said a bunch of times here how much I struggle with emails, but the template is very simple to use and has clear instructions. The only steps are copy/pasting the email text, adding minor customisation (e.g. your name and personal experiences - the more of this added, the better, but that’s up to your spoon count), copy/pasting the email address, and adding a subject line.
So, if you have the spoons, this would be a real help.
