I am often accused of being "too serious." That used to bother me, but not any more.

Life certainly needs time of fun, frivolity and just plain silliness.

But you can have those times because of the times when you focus your mind, and do what needs to be done.

With the Sun at 26° Taurus (a Capricorn/Saturn ruled degree) and the Moon in Capricorn, things are a bit more serious today.

Encourage Others - Encourage Self

On many levels, and for many reasons, I "encourage" you to encourage others. Encouragement - to bolster or boost someone's courage in themself - is a tool not used nearly enough.

At SiriusJoy.com where I am one of the contributing Astrologers, we do a Daily Pep Talk, encouraging you to use the transits in ways that help you love yourself, overcome wounding, and live your heart.

But there are a lot of people in this world who receive no daily encouragement from anyone, and least of all from themselves.

The request from the Cosmos today is to encourage and support others, so says the sextile between the Sun in Taurus and the North Node in Pisces at 25°. And because you understand the laws of energy, that encouragement will come back to you at a time when you need it most.

There are a lot of good people out there; they are your neighbors, co-workers, and staffers at your favorite business. Think how much more life-giving your neighborhood, workplace and local business would be if those individuals were encouraged to keep going when times are rough, and to always be their best.

Be Creative

Yesterday I had a discussion with a client about "play." Specifically we discussed how important play is as a child as it opens skills you will need as an adult. It's easy to spot an adult who never got to play as a child.

Today is a day where you don't necessarily need to "play," but to at least really lean into your creative juices. This can mean the standard idea of "creativity" that involves music, art, dance, poetry, etc. But creativity also means originality, expressivness, the ability to innovate. That can certainly be done without paints or musical instruments but with computers, calculators and your mind.

If you had a childhood in which you never really got the chance to play, then this is a day in which creativity also helps you end the wounds from that childhood. Trust me on this ... there is still a child in you that wants to play.

And if your childhood is filled with deep memories of play, this is a day to use that sense of happiness to heal a wound that has occurred in your adult life.

Creativity, fun, play and imagination - they do more than make life more beautiful. They heal the soul.

The Wobble

That was a pretty powerful Full Moon on Monday, creating quite the "wobble." A wobble that needs some time to settle and adjust.

This wobble is part of the cycle, part of what it takes to move something from chaotic or frenzied, to something still and observable. Let that process happen.

To help you Jupiter moves from 23° to 24° Gemini today. 23° is a grand master Mercury/Mind ruled degree, and even more so when occurring in Gemini. Jupiter now moves from that mental place to 24°, a Venus/Libra ruled degree of creation, artistry and beauty.

I don't know if you've ever watched something wobble, as it slowly and surely find its center, and ultimately its stability. It is a creative process that is beautiful in its own right; literally poetry in motion.

The Zombie Apocalypse

A different take from other astrologers on today's 22° 13' Scorpio Full Moon occurring at 12:55pm ET today.

Both 22 and 13 are break down to break thru degrees. This Full Moon occurring at 22° 13' is a clear signal that something deep (Scorpio) is shifting today.

This shift comes from how you respond to the "zombies" in the world today.

What do you believe in? Are you prepared to act on it? Will you act on it when others criticize you or otherwise hinder you? Will you have faith that everything will work out in your favor, even if you can't see it right now?

During the Covid experience my Beloved and I put our jobs, finances, reputations, and in some cases friendships, on the line to stand for what we continue to believe in. Others became "zombies," giving up their hearts, minds and souls.

Plain talk from this astrologer - the rest of 2025 will have you confronting the Zombies. Those who prefer you don't question, that you simply go along with "authority" (whether that be governmental or spiritual), and that you cede your decision making powers to whatever is current and popular.

Be Alert - Stay Calm

I'm already seeing it as I write this post; people are starting to feel Monday's 22° Scorpio Full Moon. I know I am.

Today think twice about what feels "intense." I'm not saying to discount it or ignore it, but it could also be a temporary "fire under your ass" that will wane in a few days.

This also means think twice before you tell someone to f*ck off, show off your middle finger, or throw shade someone's way.

This Full Moon is going to bring in a lot of transformative energy. But it's going to be like lightning in a bottle, and handled with the respect it deserves. More on that tomorrow.

Today, dance with this intensity in way that helps you expand who you are, not get you off track.

Let Your Mind Catch Up

At 8:15am ET this morning Mercury moved into Taurus where it will be until May 25th when it will move into its home sign of Gemini. Mercury in Taurus doesn't move very fast ... think turtle.

This is a time to let your mind slow down and catch up with all of the ideas, downloads, realizations and understandings that have happened in the past 60 days. Taurus is a slower moving energy, likes to take its time getting somewhere. And when fast paced Mercury moves into this sign it also will takes its time.

Beware though that Black Moon Lilith moves to 5° Scorpio later today. 5° is a degree ruled by Mercury. Lilith moving to this place brings up fears about new ideas, downloads, etc. Today she could especially whisper in your ear and tell you how "wrong" you are for having an opinion different from so many of those around you.

So steady as she goes with your thoughts till May 25th. Remember, both the turtle and the hare arrive at the same location, and speed is not always the goal.

Consider The Possibilities

Today marks the fourth and final day in 2025 in which the planets do not form any "exact" alignments. No conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines or oppositions. For those of you who understand when the Moon is "void of course," this is the same but just involving all of the planets.

This isn't rare, but it is unusual, and it's unusual there are four of these days in 2025.

This means there are no planetary restrictions, but also no planetary boundaries. You are free to roam about as there's a degree of freedom today.

But with freedom comes great responsibility. This is a day to open your mind to possibilities. To consider things you've been to hesitant to consider before.

It's a time when you can go down the proverbial "rabbit hole," and allow yourself to ponder possibilities that your logical mind won't do.

The idea is to open up, but to also be careful what you open up to.

Don't make any major decisions today as they could be as a result of "floating around," and not very grounded. Don't make permanent decisions today based on temporary feelings.

And enjoy exploring; who knows what you will discover.

Think It Through

Later today Jupiter will move to 23° Gemini. 23° is a grand master Gemini ruled degree, and is even more powerful given that it is in Gemini.

Add to this 23° the mass of Jupiter and for several days you get the opportunity to think deeper and more profoundly than normal. It's a period of time where you can train your brain to operate differently. Literally, it's a time where you can create new neural pathways in the brain. If you're more left brained it can help you tap into your right brain, and vice versa.

But to take advantage of this potential growth you've got to actually USE your brain. For the next five days ENGAGE your brain by reading more, trying to solve complex puzzles, starting to study a new language, or listen to deep documentaries or podcasts.

The point is to "push the limits" a little bit. Don't use this valuable time just doom scrolling on social media. Expand your brain during this time of expansion and you can add new ways to how you think, and ultimately to how you solve life's little mysteries.

Over Complication

When the Sun is in Taurus you often see the most life-negating part of Taurus energy ... over complicating things!

Most of the problems you face can be easily solved by stopping what is causing the problem in the first place.

Overweight? Change your lifestyle. In debt? Manage your resources differently. Something not working? Try a new approach.

That seems obvious but many people can't seem to go there. They look for external circumstances to explain what is actually being caused by internal decisions and actions.

That is the teaching from the conjunction of the Moon and the South Node today at 26° Virgo. 26° is a Saturn ruled degree that, quite frankly, gets tired of your bullsh*t and invites you to open up to the idea that YOU are standing in the way of the solution. Combine Virgo and Saturn energy, and you're looking at a cosmic Grandmother / Grandfather that ain't putting up with your dumbassery anymore. (Believe me, I know; I was raised by a Saturn ruled Virgo Mother!!)

If something's not working, then stop doing what you're doing. And yes, it can be just as easy as that.

Victory

It feels a little odd to be on the other side of "victim." After years or decades of automatically reacting to triggers, to let one go by still takes some getting used to. I had to do that recently, and I must admit it is taking me some time to acknowledge that I did, AND to proceed forward with the new information this revealed.

I suggest you will experience the same thing today as Venus in Aries will sextile Pluto (retrograde) in Aquarius, and Mercury that is also in Aries conjuncts Chiron at 24°.

Unless you believe in your healing neither will the world.

If you don't demonstrate your healing, YOU won't believe it.

And if you don't SPEAK and THINK in healed ways, that old trigger will find some way to get right back into your head.

Believe, think and speak as the victor today. Because the victim is long gone.

Can You Deliver?

**I was away for a week because of health issues ... emotional, mental, spiritual, and yes, physical. I apologize that I didn't let you know sooner!**

A lot of people promise things they can't deliver. Whether it be Politician or Pundit, Administrator or Executive, there are just those individuals who talk a big game and then never play. I did a degree of this in my 30s, so I can speak from experience.

Beware of those "big talkers" today as Mercury in Aries sextiles Jupiter in Gemini at 22°, a breakdown to breakthrough degree. Many who are talking a "big game" will be discovered today. They simply will not be able to deliver.

Use this sextile wisely. Speak about what you can do, or realistically will do. This doesn't mean to limit yourself or to not imagine greater. If you promise something make sure you have a plan to accomplish it. Use this sextile to help you push thru any challenges or obstacles that are keeping you from delivering.

And finally, let this sextile open up your mind to possibilities you've been hesitant to consider. And then dedicate to delivering on those possibilities, rather than just talking a big game that makes it difficult for people to trust you.

Life Is Golden

Instead I will just say this about today's transits and their teaching ... Life is Golden.

I know we have moments - or years! - that are less than golden. But life really is special, great, awesome and a privilege. Being here on Mother Earth is beautiful, with a display of splendor unseen anywhere else in the Universe.

And life just flows easier when we remember that it's golden, do what we can to clean the tarnished parts, and then shine on.

Yep. That's what the planets say today.

Be Not Afraid

Saturday - April 26, 2025

Today there is the invitation to bring an old fear back into your life. To just pick it back up, dust it off, and welcome it back in.

Does that sound like a good idea to you? I'm thinking not.

There's a wicked (word used on purpose) T-square focused on a 3° Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio, bringing up these deep fears about what you believe about yourself. Completing this T-square is the opposition of Mars in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius at 3°. But this opposition is also the solution.

The solution is to walk away from that fear. Walk. Away.

You don't need to study it or try to determine what it is comprised of. Walk. Away.

That could be challenging today as the Moon is in Aries and wants to "do something." But at 12:17pm ET that Aries Moon goes void of course for 15 hours, suggesting you don't engage in highly emotional activities. The one activity you do today is to NOT do something, and in this case DO NOT GIVE IN TO BLACK MOON LILITH'S FEAR.

Do not underestimate the power of walking away from fear today. No need to wrestle it to the floor, show it who's boss, or damn it to hell.

Simply walk away.

Often times the solutions to life really are that simple.

Steady, Not Stuck

Friday - April 25, 2025

There is a fixed square in the chart today that is encouraging you to address some fears. Some deep, nasty fears. To address them so you will stop being stuck by them.

A Fixed Square is when four planets and/or mathematical points (such as the Nodes, Ascendant, etc) are in squares and oppositions with each other. When occurring in the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius you are being encouraged to anchor something in, so create a strong foundation.

Involved in this fixed square is Black Moon Lilith at 3° Scorpio, a place that is bringing up some deep seated fears about what you believe about yourself, your capabilities and skills, or your worthiness. These are nasty fears, meaning they cut deep, and feel more like a nightmare.

The planets in this square - Sun in Taurus, Mars in Leo, Pluto in Aquarius - are encouraging you to see your worth and value, to listen to your heart, and to turn a false belief in a new confidence.

Will this happen overnight? Nope. But it won't happen at all if you don't start, and the skies suggest today is a great day.

Imagine how much more secure you would feel if those nasty fears were told to go back to the hell from whence they came?

The Discipline of Love

Love is not Hallmark Movies and Valentine's Day. It's not always easy, and more than often is quite messy.

Love requires discipline. It means saying NO at times, or saying YES when it feels more uncomfortable. Sometimes love requires being flexible, and sometimes neutral.

Love requires a lot.

And that is the teaching today involving Venus, the North Node, Saturn and the Moon, all of which are in Pisces. It's a big teaching that we can love others as God Universe loves us, unconditionally, yet realize that humans are very limited in how they can give or receive that love. And that we have to be real and honest about that.

How does that look? Sometimes it looks like allowing others to experience the results of their actions. Sometimes it looks like jumping in so they don't.

And Uranus moving to 26° Taurus today asks you to commit to what will be the highest and most loving thing for you to do. Even if others don't understand; even if your ego would prefer to do something different.

Always seek the highest form of love, and let God Universe handle it from there.

Illusions

Tuesday - April 22, 2025

Later today (5:34pm ET) Saturn will move to 27° Pisces. 27° is ruled by Aries/Mars and is asking you to act on what you feel and sense (i.e. intuit) is the most life-affirming. From today till May 2nd when Saturn moves to 28° Pisces there will be a strong sense to act on something you feel is coming from Spirit, God Universe, etc.

But is it?

While Saturn is at 27° Pisces it will be a chance to get very clear on whether you are engaging in intuition or illusion. An opportunity for you to ask if you are sensing what you "want" to sense, or really picking up on a greater intuitive knowing. There are many who do some pretty awful things in the name of God because they swear they were told to.

Today be aware of a 7+ hour Moon in Aquarius void of course, from 5:55pm ET to 1:06am ET Wednesday. Stay detached emotionally, but available emotionally if needed. Avoid making any major decisions if possible, and use that time to discern if you - or those are you - are engaging with your intuition or illusion.
