I don't understand the trailer. Ruby should be fucking torn up about this and trying to cheer Sapphire up (maybe saying Rose may have lied about everything else but not about Ruby and Sapphire's love), not saying she sees a future with only Ruby in it.

yeah like, it was just. very outta character for her to do that.

recently i watched a youtube video that made the pink diamond reveal seem really clever and cool, but i shouldn’t have to watch some fan on youtube explain things to me to get excited about a show. And i think that’s like, always been my problem with steven universe. there’s been so many fan theories and fics that have gotten me way more excited than the show ever could. And that’s the problem; su had characters I got attached to really quickly, and a really interesting universe, but a just okay story. And that’s not inherently the worst thing, but it means if the story starts dissolving… why should i tune in? why settle for an okay story and good characters, when I could go on ao3 and find a really good story with the same characters?

I want Pearl to realize she's been played this whole time. I want Pearl to realize all the garbage Rose did and never fixed. I want Pearl to realize everything Rose did wrong. I want Pearl to grow bitter and furious with Rose. I want Pearl to despise Rose.

i want the Crystal Gems to all fight for the good of the planet, but not for Rose’s sake. 

i want Pearl to be the first one to denounce Rose and say that Rose has no right to be associated with the Crystal Gems anymore. that Rose was never worthy of being their leader and that they’re the ones that really give a shit about Earth. i want her to completely relinquish the feelings she felt for Rose, to move on, and then say sorry to Steven.

i want Garnet to become the real leader of the Crystal Gems- i want the love between Sapphire and Ruby to be the real representation of peace and love and all the wonderful things that can be found on Earth. Garnet rebuilds the Crystal Gems into an actual group of people that came together for the sake of keeping Earth safe and fighting against the Diamonds. all of the Diamonds, not just Yellow or Blue or White. 

i want Amethyst to be angry, i want her to completely love herself. not because of Rose saying she was perfect the way she is- i want Amethyst to say she’s completely perfect the way she is. and i want her to talk to Peridot about this, about having someone she admired all her life turn out to be a manipulative monster that never really cared about anyone else. and i want Peridot to relate to this revelation and the two can support each other. 

and i want Peridot to be a part of the group. she wants to help rebuild the Crystal Gems and follow the real leader that gives a fuck about them (Garnet) and has never used any of them for her own sake (Garnet). 

and i want Bismuth to be a part of the group. she’s going to obviously be incredibly hurt. and i want Steven to say sorry,for bubbling her and for telling her about this. and i want Bismuth to hold the poor broken-down Steven and tell him, “i said you were better than her. you still are.”

i want the Crystal Gems to come back stronger from this bullshit.

That was….momumentally dumb…

So you’re telling me…not only did Rose fake her entire identity, but she

1. Was formally a dictator incredibly excited to make her own colony and in turn enslave humans

2. Knew these humans where in a zoo (again, because she put them there) and never went back to release them

3. Lied to every Crystal Gem, excluding Pearl, about their cause for the war

4. Only wanted to stay on earth because she still saw the humans as nothing more than pets she wanted to play with

5. Left her diamond status because BD and YD “didn’t care” which is the most childish reason might I add

6. Never thought once that it was a mistake to keep this charade up once all of her “comrades” in the war died so she could be on Earth.

7. Forced Pearl to keep quiet about it

8. Somehow kept that shapshifting form for thousands of years (I don’t care if she’s a Diamond she is a runt of the litter and she should have limitations. That SHOULDN’T be possible. But this is more of a writing problem)

9. Never once felt guilty or remorseful enough to tell ANYONE about this and was completely fine as being painted as a saint by her friends

10. Still had the AUDACITY to talk about the value of life in the home video she made for Steven.

Please please please someone tell me why this isn’t the WORST decision the crew could have made. Tell me that anything that has happened in this show means anything with this context. Steven could have asked this before. He could have asked this ages and ages ago all the way back to when he first found out the war even happened, but no. He wanted to waste time. He wanted to play the ukulele and keep Bismuth locked away and let Centipeetle say corrupted and sleep with his teddy bear and play in rock bands because he would rather do ANYTHING than ask a goddamn question.

If he had just asked. If he had even acted like he cared, all it would’ve taken was eleven minutes.
