i got a book that i haven't stopped reading for like.... 3 hours straight, literally since i started

Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer. it's so fucking wild and i recommend it with a handful of caveats. so if stuff like: parasites, gore, depersonalization, and blurring the lines of what's real, what's perceived, and what that means for "actual" reality bothers you, stay far away. it's also extremely suspenseful. oh yeah, also hypnosis and supplanted memories, stuff like that

but i think it might actually be the most interesting book i've ever read in my entire life, which i really want ppl to understand is saying something huge, as i've read a lot of truly fascinating books. and the writing... i thought my writing was tangible, but i have so much to learn from this writing. after i finish reading it i kinda wanna reread it just to dissect the writing style more

toothache :c :c :c :c :c how stressful, esp bc the dentist i got assigned is apparently awful. like, many of the reviews talked abt abusive behavior and a lot of ppl reported him to the dental review board kinda awful

oh i hate this.... obv any of my joints being in pain sucks but when my tmj is acting up it's like! so annoying! it makes my whole face hurt
