the word “woman” was bad to describe us, so people said “female”. the word “female” was bad so people said “afab”. the word “afab” is now bad too (“talking about afab experiences is transmisogynistic”), and you apparently shouldn’t talk about the experiences of “people with vaginas” only, either. 

discussing “radical feminism” was bad, so people said “feminism”, but that was bad, too, so people just talked about “misogyny”, but that was a “terf” dogwhistle, so people talked about “gendered socialization” but that’s a transmisogynistic discussion framework, apparently. So where do you go next?

It’s not that the words were offensive, it’s that the power they gave to women to exclusively discuss ourselves and our problems effectively and accurately was. It’s a silencing tactic. We could call ourselves anything as a sex class and it’d still be offensive that we found solidarity. You can’t talk about, find community with, or protect women if acknowledging sex is banned, and you can’t talk about women’s issues if acknowledging sexism is banned.

*just a normal walmart employee. not a manager or anything. you have to stand there in the store for 8 hours a day 40 hours a week and do the walmart bullshit. watch the people at the self checkout registers and whatnot. people will be annoying and so mean and dumb as hell every single day and at least once per week someone is gonna drop a whole carton of fruit and explode it all over the floor and someone's baby is gonna puke too. you make $15 per hour

**it doesnt matter what state or country you are in. you get to carry a gun and shoot people who threaten to harm you. nobody can rob you or hurt you at rest stops you get to kill them if they try. you will never be in danger from another person unless you crash your truck. drive safe. you will probably survive the crash but if you hit a normal vehicle the people in it probably will not. also assume you can drive. even if you cant drive now you can drive very well in this scenario no matter how many years it took you to practice. you passed your CDL test with flying colors you are the best truck driver to ever exist. you do have to do the long ass trips (12+ hrs) sometimes but not all the time. you do have to load and unload whatever stuff is inside your semi truck but your company gives you the equipment you need for that but it will still be pretty heavy and very labor intensive. they pay for your gas and your food while you are on the clock. you make $35 per hour
