OH MY GOD YOURE SO RIGHT id love that. Like seriously. PLEASE. Because he’d be so annoying and we’d get the annoying besties trope we had in Seasons of War again!!!!

On everything else in the book:

FLETCHER???? Honestly I wasn’t expecting that - it wasn’t as hard hitting initially bc we had had so many close calls with death so it jsut didn’t register- I’m so gutted he’s gone but I’m glad it was. Painless :(

Caelean or whatever his fucking name is? I mean…. Look okay he made a super cool Bad Guy but i felt so disappointed that he was the big bad - I mean yes im glad it’s not someone knew but i felt like there was SO MUCH POTENTIAL

And also I’m biased but it could’ve been such a cool Serpine resurgence imo (Magic loss, Revival, personal grudge, etc etc)

I understand both Winter & Valkyrie, both of them are SO complex it hurts - tho tbf I can’t really follow Winter’s storyline bc.. like all the diff storylines make my head hurt - but she also so reminds me of initial Darquesse but in the best way possible! Like I actually didn’t mind that whole bit at the end, winter isn’t just some edgy teen YAY!!!! And UUGGHHHHH Valkyrie….. I’ve grown to love her again so much… she’s going through so much, was literally pushed to her limits, and she still sacrificed everything for her little sister??? Oh my GOOODDDDD my SHAYLA!!!!!!!

Overall, I’m a diehard fan for this book even with bad writing, and I’m kinda excited in a bittersweet way to see it end

Completely forgot the new SP book was dropping today, read the preview and it seems really good

Probably won’t buy it - at least not yet - but it’s something to look forward to

bought and read it last night - idk if it’s just bc I’ve not read it in a while but all the different names were so hard to keep up with LMAO-

Just like the second book, I fear that there’s a lot of open ended things that haven’t been touched on yet? Maybe they’re being saved for the last book, but a few plot points never seem resolved which is kinda ‘meh’

Also of course I gotta mention it, no Nefarian or Serpine: did I just miss a line in previous books that explain this? Because the last I have knowledge of, idk what happened to Nefarian? And also Serpine was roaming around - did Darquesse just wipe all of that and it never got brought up again? Cause maybe I just missed it, but I do miss my guy 😔
