'imagine getting head from a black hole' - Silas

my roommate collected a list of things I said during a summer some years ago. I hereby present the beginnings of that list... yes, wouldn't it be great? And the time spent living in bliss forever until you cross the event horizon and get fully consumed by the hole. This time is fully spent in a state of pleasure, getting sucked [in] by the black hole for all eternity.

The black hole represents an altered state of Nozick's 'Experience Machine' thought experiment in which you are asked whether you would want to connect to a machine that induces your mind into a simulation that is your perfect and ideal reality. This reality is induced and experienced as real. Would you want to spend your whole life in this all-but perfect world, 'hooked up'? How about only a vacation of two weeks, while in reality you stay in your bed at home?

Research shows that many people with high living standards tend to avoid the choice of eternity spent in the ideal experience machine, whereas people who have a lower life satisfaction tend towards wanting to be 'hooked up'.
