-Odango's flank twitched slightly with the touch, but didn't react. With tears in his eyes, he took a step forward only to stop when he heard his mate howl. His amber eyes slowly lands on his mate, tears flowing down his puffy eyes. The demon buried his head into his mate's neck fur, closed his eyes and inhaled his mate's scent. His voice was barely above a whisper.-
Thank you.....
-Without another word, he walks through the misty barrier and didn't look back.
Vision blurry with tears and tail dragging on the ground, the demon numbly trudges on. He didn't know how long they walked or how far, all he knew was that he left his sheep behind. Far behind. He slipped and fell a few times but, with the help of his mate, was able to get up and move on. It wasn't until he was wheezing did he finally crawl under a tree to rest. Limbs heavy with exhaustion, he curls himself up into a ball and closes his eyes.-
Hati gazed at the misty barrier between them and the world, glancing at his mate as he seemed to tremble, his gold eyes empty with grief. He smoothed his tail against Odango’s flank lightly, trying to soothe him. The least he could do would be to be there for his demon, and he hoped the gesture of solidarity would help even a little.
Usually I wouldn’t be so damn emotional over this…I wouldn’t care. He sighed and let his eyes slowly rove over his mate, Only for him.
He blinked as a long, piteous roar reverberated from Odango’s throat; it would have been fearsome if not for the very obvious sorrow in its tone. He watched the demon take a step forth to cross the border into the outside world, and he hesitated a moment before tipping his head back and letting out a sonorous howl, the first and last tribute of sorts he would ever give to the dead sheep that had been so precious to his mate. And then he fell into step with Odango again, ready to move on from this, and help his demon do so as well.

-Odango walked silently beside his mate; he didn't even notice he was there, all he could think about was his sheep. Shaky arms and legs carried his weak body, a heavy heart made his throat clench tightly to the point of being painful. Paws and hands dragging along the smooth surface, he forces himself to walk to the exit. He needed to leave, there wasn't anything here for him anymore. His sheep was gone, and he couldn't bring himself to really believe it. He saw him 'die', and a part of him died along with his cub.
Before he knew it, they were at the exit. A wall of mist separated them from the outside world. His body trembled, his mind raced, he felt a huge tug to stay here and never leave. It was then that he smelled his mate's smoky scent and remembered how terrified his Wolf was for almost losing him. The declaration of love was something he never thought he'd hear the black Wolf say, let alone soothing words or the promise of loyalty. He looked over his shoulder and stared deeply into the crimson eyes, he couldn't abandon his mate. Taking a deep breath, he lets out one final, mournful roar for his cub before crossing over.-
Hati chuckled darkly at the demon’s statement, “Try though he might, my little brother poses no direct threat to me, at least not now; fear not. I’m not going anywhere…at least not without you.” He cleared his throat quickly, “Alright, so fearing for your safety and your life has briefly turned me into a bit o a sap, nothing I won’t recover from, and then you’d better toughen your hide because I’m going to be the scathing ‘snob’ I was when we first met. …And you’re never going to hear the end of it for making me worry.”
His tail slashed slightly as Odango went on, unease prickling his fur. He’s right, we should go…lingering in this place and succumbing would be most unwise…for the both of us.
He followed his mate without another word, a little more sure of his footing than his counterpart, and walked beside him shoulder to shoulder, fur just barely brushing together, offering support subtly should the demon need it; he did appear rather unsteady. He understood Odango was grieving for his lost friend, but the sooner they got out of this place, the better.

-Odango curls his lips into a snarl and walks angrily back and forth, tail lashing and claws digging slightly in the earth. To him, it sounded like the blond wanted to stick his nose where it didn't belong and he didn't like that. Trying to hide the uncertainty in his eyes, he narrows his eyes and all but hisses.-
Your job? Who the hell died and appointed that responsibility to you? You may have saved your world, but what makes you think that you're some kinda savior of planets? Without that dragon, what can you do to help?
-The demon's eyes glowed so brightly with a mixture of emotions that he had to dig his claws into the earth to stop himself from slashing the blond across the face; He knew he couldn't help his planet alone, he knew he needed help, but he didn't know if he could trust a human. Better yet, he didn't want to trust this Saiyan. Still, he had to do something to help his home. Odango closes his eyes, sits and runs his claws through his mane.-
I'm going to regret this, I know it. Fine, I'll accept you help, but believe me when I say that I'll destroy everything you hold dear if you double cross me, Kakarot.
Kakarot faltered under the intense, black-rimmed gaze he was fixed with. Odango seemed reluctant to trust, and he supposed he could understand that. He'd been through his own betrayal...
"It's kind of my job to right injustice," he said carefully, "But it's more than that. You seem so unhappy, and you've been dealt a pretty bad hand in your world. You've been unlucky, and I want to help you out."
He studied the pain that crossed the demon's face when he trailed off before. Something deeper was buried beneath that indifferent facade... he wondered if he'd ever know what it was; he wasn't about to ask.
"As for your last question... You're just going to have to trust me on this."

-Rainbow orb circles around Garnet nervously.-
I-I don't know! Baahhhh! You're the first one I've met so far, Garnet.
-He quickly perks up when the ginger mentions flowers and happily dances around his friend.-
Flowers! A-are they colorful? Baaaahh?
-Rainbow orb freezes at the mention of his demon's name and he starts to circle around the haven frantically.-
I-I don't know w-where Odango is! B-Baaahhh! I-I can't even f-feel him! W-where is he? I-is he ok? Baahhh?
thedevilandhispets started following blackliondemonodango
"but…can others see you? or is it just some people who can?" he asked “i was even going to bring all these flowers to annoy odango with…i guess we can’t do that anymore" he tried to hold back any tears he could feel trying to emerge.

-Rainbow orb gave off a sad glow and dims slightly.-
Yes....It happened a while ago. Baahhhh. I was getting really tired and I couldn't walk without help. Odango tried to help by making strength herbs for me, but it didn't last long. Baaahhh. He took me to the place where all magical animals come to die and....W-well, here I am. Baaahhh...
thedevilandhispets started following blackliondemonodango
"rainbow? why are you glowing?" garnet asked confused. “did something bad happen?"

-The colorful orb flashes and lets out a happy glow.-
I did! Baaahhh! But.....
-It floats lower to the ground and dims.-
I can't be Super Rainbow anymore....Baahhh.
thedevilandhispets started following blackliondemonodango
-A small colorful ball floats around a deserted safe haven, bringing a little life to the gloomy sanctuary. It sees someone in the area and floats closer. The ball somehow does a happy dance in the air and circles the guest happily-

-Odango listened quietly, growing more and more anxious by the minute. He didn't like the idea of dealing with dragons, the were bad news and a force to be reckoned with. However, his deep distrust of anything that associated with or remotely looked like a human kept him from accepting any help. Digging his claws into the earth to release some of his anxiety, he snorts and frowns at the male.-
What's the catch, Saiyan? There has to be some sort of reason why you're doing this and don't you DARE say it's because you want to help my world, there has to be something else you want. There's no way in HELL that a creature can be that self....less.
-He squeezes his eyes shut in pain as Rainbow's happy face flashed through his mind. His little sheep would do anything to help someone, even if it meant his life. That little sheep was the only selfless soul he's ever met. But, that selfless soul was gone now. He opens his eyes and hardens his voice.-
You saved my life, I'll give you that, but this is a whole new creature. If I agree to have you help me save my planet using this dragon, how do I know that you won't do something to backstab my trust? This dragon gives you two wishes, correct? How can I trust that you won't use that second wish to screw me over and put some kind of plague on my planet?
He wasn't sure Odango completely grasped the concept, but at least he hadn't scoffed at him and said it was impossible for things like that to exist. Then again, the guy was a demon.
"There is a bit of a catch. Sometimes the wishes exceed the dragon's power, or the laws of nature.. and you only get two wishes per year. Once those are used, you have to wait another year to use them again. And... I'm not sure the wishing capabilities would reach your world, in fact. That's why I said I wasn't sure they would work," he said slowly, "But I think it might be worth a try... unless you want your world to stay like it is."

-Odango laughed at Hati's bluntness, it was one of the many things he loved about his mate. His laughter subsided and he stares at Hati, silently wondering if he would give up that much for his Wolf's sake. Could he? He's never done that for anyone other than Rainbow, but doing so for his cub was different than doing so for his mate. He shakes his thoughts away with a snort and flicks the tip of his tail under his mate's chin.-
Good, I was beginning to worry that some asshole demon possessed you. That, or your brother hypnotized you or something and I'd have to go beat his ass to get my high and mighty snob back. I would, you know. Spirit or not, no one takes my Hati away and gets away with it.
-The demon nods and takes a moment to struggle to his hands and feet. Panting, he smirks at Hati and chuckles shakily-
Occasionally? I can't get two words out without hearing a smartass remark. If you're sure that you want to help me keep my haven alive, then lets go. The longer I stay here, the sweeter the voices.
-He points to the black rocks for emphasis. Odango really didn't want to leave his cub behind but he wasn't here anymore, his magic and soul was deep in the earth now. Turning away to hide the deep sadness in his face, he takes a few shaky steps towards the smooth path that lead to the exit.-
Hati frowned, "Usually I wouldn't give a flying fuck what my brother thinks, and that hasn't changed much now; except I am beginning to see what he meant about more important things than duty... about caring for someone else's sake." His tail swished as he thought, "I would be willing to give you my energy to keep you and your haven alive, much as I may be an infernal ass occasionally, I owe you my loyalty as your mate."

-He chuckled as the memory of his little sheep trying his hardest to sync with him flashed through his mind. Indeed, if Rainbow could do it, then Hati could. His smile falters when he remembers the slight rainbow tint to the safe haven; would that disappear if Hati gives the haven some of his energy? He swallows hard and stares at his mate, his voice shaky.-
I-It's worth a try. But, like I said, as soon as I cross through the barrier, it'll drain the energy out of me. We won't even be able to try and sync before it takes what it needs....
-The demon frowns in surprise when Hati actually agreed with his brother. It dawned on him just how serious his mate was about not chasing the moon anymore. The two brothers hated each other and to have his wolf agree to something his brother believed was a phenomenon.-
I never thought I'd hear you say that you agree with your brother, Wolf. It's....Kind of scary to hear you say that.
Hati smiled, showing quite a bit of his fangs, "At the very least, I could offer some of my energy. If a little puffball like Rainbow could pull it off, I'm sure I could. I have power to spare, after all, since I won't be chasing anyone's moon anymore. I'm done with that... Skoll was right." He averted his eyes, the tiny revelation leaving him uneasy, "The bastard was actually right..."

-Odango noticed that Kakarot balled his hand into a fist and wondered what he said to irritate the blond. Hearing the explanation made him relax, he was in no way, shape or form going to help this bastard collect these things if they came from an actual dragon. However, hearing that an actual dragon granted wishes made him feel uneasy.-
A dragon grants you a wish when you collect these...Things? That sounds too good to be true. Nothing grants you what you want without having some sort of catch or consequence for using it too much, especially if it's a dragon.
-He narrows his eyes out of curiosity and walks closer to the blond as he speaks.-
What makes you think these things would work in my world anyway? If they saved your Earth more than once, doesn't that mean that these things only work here?
Kakarot had to restrain his hand from slapping his forehead by clenching it in a fist. He wished everyone would stop making that joke about the dragonballs, it was getting pretty old and he'd heard it enough times to go deaf from it. Why couldn't the dragonballs just be called something else then? Like the dragon marbles or the dragon orbs? It would save him and everyone else who used them a lot of humiliation and explanation.
"Uh, no." he said, keeping the irritation carefully out of his voice, "The dragonballs are seven magic balls that do not come from an actual dragon. Nor are they in any way related to dragon gonads. If you gather all seven together you can summon the dragon Shenron, who'll grant you two wishes. They've been a lifesaver over the years, though. Literally. I wouldn't be here without them, and neither would Earth."

-Odango shoots Kakarot a 'what the fuck' look.-
Dragon what? That....Sounds like you chopped off a dragon's balls and used it to heal your planet. I've seen dragons before and only a complete moron would try something like that.
-The demon snorts and shakes his mane.-
It is an endless cycle; many animals have abandoned their homes and moved away or made their own safe havens. Mine repels humans and others interested in claiming my home. And if my haven kills me, then my magic will be transferred to the sacred graveyard where it'll return to the earth. It's what us magical creatures look forward to.
Kakarot sighed and sat down on a boulder nearby, elbow on knee, chin on fist, "I saved the world from actual enemies, though, not from its own inhabitants. I... I don't know if the dragonballs would work on a different dimension's Earth, but if you want, we could try to fix the damage that way. I get the feeling it would just be a never-ending circle though. Solve the problem temporarily, and the humans will just fuck up the environment again... so I guess the humans of your world really are the problem."

-Odango frowned and rolled his eyes.-
The day that your theory is correct, hell will freeze over and the skies will rain pink butterflies! You weren't there when all this started, Saiyan, so who are you to say that it's the elements that caused all this? I saw the humans destroy the land and throw off the balance of the forest which caused many other things to fall soon after. In case you didn't know, a planet is in a very delicate balance within itself. If the forest dies, then the ground will dry up which will cause the water to dry up and so on. Besides-
-He sits down and continues to frown at the blond, choosing to ignore Kakarot's questions until his were answered.-
You still didn't answer my question: how would you fix my planet if humans weren't the problem? Since you 'saved' your planet more than once, you must have a way to fix mine, oh magical savior of planets.
Kakarot bit his lip pensively, "Well you seem to blame the humans more than the sky or the ground. If its the elements' fault that your world is dying, there's not a lot you could do either way. But you seem to fault the humans for it a lot. There are things in the world none of us can control, but... I'm not sure what you're doing to help your world is the best choice either. Giving up your energy to keep a tiny patch of land living... what happens if the humans find that haven of yours? What happens if you're not around to keep that section of land alive? You seem to be delaying the inevitable, not solving the problem, and that can only go on for so long."
