(( There is an urge to bring this character back again; totally not because of the reaper class coming out in 6.0
Totally not because it would fit Neena so well cause her adoptive mom is from the void.
Totally not that... ))

This man, whoever he was, seemed to be the type to be prepared for any sort of situation if his original plan went wrong. That was definitely a problem, but it wasn’t like Neena wasn’t equipped to handle whatever may be thrown her way. She had been in worse situations and with the dragons backing her up she had allies ready to assist her if needed.
“Faust Greystone...” Greystone, that name. That last name. So another bastard from Ishgard, how was she not surprised? No wonder he was treated poorly, and being an Au Ra would have made it even worse. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Faust, I’m Neena, caretaker of dragons and part time Warrior of Light.” she said. Neena wasn’t going to tell him her last name... gods no she didn’t need more drama or more suspicion on her. They were both bastards, but Faust may not see it that way if he learned she was the Heir to one of the High Houses.
Midgard remained silent, indeed smelling a similar scent on the boy that carried along with Neena. Blood of heretics and of nobility running through their veins. However, he did not reveal such information, because all of the good that Neena has done, prejudice, especially from abuse, was liable to cloud his judgement and cast aside their generous offer.
@thedarkestdragonknight
The young halfbreed had found himself in the area of Anyx Trine, he'd been told to come there since it could lead to some form of protection from... well he didn't want to think about that. Sighing out Faust just crossed his arms in front of him before staring up at the tower... he saw a few dragons flying above, watching him carefully as he stood there in his knight's armor. No doubt wary because of it, though they had nothing to worry about. (I such at starters so... *FLEES*)
We have a visitor in seek of succor, though his ilk often not comes to this part of the world. He is far from home.
Midgard’s seemingly unwarranted narration quietly hummed around the Elezen’s long ears. It wasn’t often the small dragon spoke and Neena had to admit that the rare times he did was a delight. There wasn’t much the dragon couldn’t soothe with the way his voice echoed daintily through the air. However, to have someone come to Anyx Trine for refuge was something she had never heard before. Aymeric had certainly been interested in restoring what housing used to be in the area, but Ishgard had very little resources to rebuild itself, much less historic ruins that basically needed to be rebuilt from the ground up. So who would even have the gall to come there and look for a place to stay? It hardly looked hospitable, especially with all the dragons flying around and watching.
Her curiosity was piqued to say the least, and Neena found herself leaving the company of one of the older dragons and making her way to the aetheryte at the bottom of the tower. When she emerged, she spied a young Xeala standing there, arms crossed and decked out in knight’s armor. He didn’t look like some weary soul, but someone who was ready to do battle. She frowned at the thought of some green-eared adventurer coming to try and fight dragons under the pretense they were part of Nidhogg’s brood.
“I’m afraid if you’ve come to try your hand at fighting dragons, you’ve come to the wrong place.”
(( and such a starter it is indeed! I am happy you decided to give me one before I could throw one at you XD ))

Midgard was glad that the boy seemed to be coming around at least a little bit with such reassurances. But if this hunter could use poisons, perhaps it was best to get themselves prepared; it was a good thing Neena was somewhat of a botanist.
“We’ll just have to figure out what he uses and keep medicinal herbs on standby. But it is not the time to worry about that now; what is your name? I’d like to know to whom is staying with us.”

Was that how it was? Such an unfortunate thing, that a child would grow up being believed that he was nothing but a tool for his father to use. Still, it wasn’t anything he’d think Neena wouldn’t be able to take care of, she’s dealt with many dangers, more threatening then what this man probably has to offer.
“If you are being hunted, young one, then you may stay here all you like, we do not mind, nor would we find your ‘hunter’ much of a threat. Even if he were to manage taking some of us down, he cannot take us all.”
Not that it would ever get to that point, not with Neena around who was so protective of their kind. The only thing they should really worry about are the little ones who may want to try and help.
“You don’t have to endanger yourself by leaving this place just because you think you’re putting us in danger.” Neena said, finally speaking after letting Midgard and the boy talk. “We know danger all our lives and even though we know you are being hunted, we still want to take you in, we know the risks and we accept them.”

At the moment Faust put his hand atop Midgard’s head, the dragon lowered and closed his eyes, letting the young boy talk. He could feel the fear and the pain, such hardships should not be endured by one so young. But such is the life of mortal man and his folly.
“Then you may stay here if you’d like, the dragons would not mind another body living among them, as long as they are peaceful. Though perhaps you may need to seek out Vidofnir for council.”
She was a leader figure, though since she was a child of Hraesvelgr and ambassador of dragons, it was hardly surprising.
“As for your hunter, if he does find you here, you will be ample protected. I dare not think anyone would be foolish enough to take on a slew of dragons and a Warrior of Light.”

“Not many do, I’ve only just recently become a regular here as it’s overseer and caretaker.” Though a little over a year was definitely a good start, even if her people were still hesitant to talk with the scaled folk.
Speaking of her people.
This boy was Ishgardian? That would explain ever so much the abuse he must’ve had within its walls. “They will not change overnight; honestly I don’t believe they’ll change over a decade,” She scoffed as well, knowing that Aymeric was doing his best to get everyone to change, but knew that, in the end, most will not. It was up to the newer generation to shed Ishgard’s previous racism and lead a way to peace between dragon and man.
“You have come the right way if you were seeking the aid of dragons, none have more of a voice for them than Neena. Her mother made a pact with our grandsire to build bridges between our kinds, starting with Ishgard. While she was unsuccessful and died for it, her daughter lives on, carrying out her will.”
Neena wasn’t sure if she liked that Midgard was giving the boy some of her history, but perhaps letting him know that she was the daughter of a ‘heretic’ then perhaps he might trust her a bit more.

Okay, now the boy was just being paranoid. One did not need the Echo to know that he had a rough past, one plagued with beatings (possibly fights) and other horrible things through his life, but that didn’t excuse his current manners. How did he expect people to help him with the attitude he currently has?!
“You haven’t even given me a chance, how do you expect others to help you when you turn your back and run at the slightest misconception?” Neena asked, crossing her arms. “I do not doubt you’ve had a rough life, one that’s been horrible and that’s caused you to shut yourself in, but if you’re going to reach out, you need to give a little trust in the person you’re reaching out to. People can’t help you when you refuse to let them help you.”

A frown appeared upon her lips, not sure if she should be insulted that this brat came for a place to stay and was definitely taking things out of proportion. There was a part of her that did just want to kick him out and be done with it, but her nature of being a Warrior of Light seemed to stick true in her mind. It seemed like Midgard had the same idea as well, flying in front of the boy and shape-shifting to his adult form, blocking his way.
Neena sighed before she started to slow walk towards him. “I was not lashing out at you. I was merely stating something under a misconception about you, nothing more.” Her voice was, indeed, calm with that tinge of Ishgardian accent. “If I really did not want you here what would be the point of me saying you are welcome? I meant what I said and I said what I meant. Midgard agrees with me.”
The large dragon nods. “I did sense a desire for succor within you, hence why I bid Neena when you arrived.”

“You’d be surprised with how many people come here to try and fight as if the Dragonsong War was still going on,” she said, crossing her arms as well. “I make it a habit not to judge people entirely on appearances, but when most visitors want to slay the peaceful inhabitants here, its hard not to. I have responsibilities, especially to the little ones.”
Neena’s look was one of indifference, not too keen to give the young man much of a reaction to his sneer or the bitterness of his tone. If he really was going to just leave he wouldn’t come out all the way there with the risk that rouge dragons could still be lumbering about. He probably had no where else to go either.
“I never said you weren’t welcome here, anyone in need of succor is free to stay, provided that they don’t cause trouble and help out around here.” She tilted her head slightly as she looked at him with a pondering expression. “That is, if you are willing to do so in exchange from being protected by whoever or whatever you’re running from.”

In Memory of the Victims
The names of those who passed away in KyoAni’s arson attack are finally being revealed, so a dedication for them and their contributions to the animation world seems in order right now. In respect to the deceased, I’ve refrained from posting pictures of their faces and opted for using their works as a form of recognition instead.
Director Takemoto Yasuhiro
Color designer Ishida Naomi
In-between animator Uda Junichi
Key animator Kigami Yoshiji
Finish animator Tsuda Sachie
Key animator Kuriki Ami
Production manager Yokota Keisuke
Art director Watanabe Mikiko
Character designer Nishiya Futoshi
And newly hired staff members Oomura Yuuki and Kasama Yuka
May all of them rest in peace, and let us never forget their names.

(( @thedarkestdragonknight
She’d call him brother in the most sarcastic way possible and only rivals cause he wants to be heir but currently she still is xD
Oh yes she would personally sign adoption papers if she could… and if Faust was under 18 >w>;;;; she doesn’t care that he’s stubborn… she is too tbh xD besides his father is the heretic now! Considering Heavensward
Other options? Oh??? ELABORATE IS THERE MORE THAT WE CAN DO FOR THIS MURDER NEPHEW AND PYRO AUNTIE?!
More friends yes! and maybe he can help Faust out too when he visits >w> ))
Rimoux - 🤗 siblings (the negative kind) + 🗡️ enemies/💪 rivals | Faust - 👼 guardian + 🤝 friends + 👪 parental figure (MAYBE) | Lusaut - 🗡️ enemies | Jacques - 🤝 friends (blackmxgepyro)
“Really… she would put me as a ‘sibling’ or even still call me such? How amusingly pathetic…” - Rimoux de Durendaire (OOC: He’d find it hilarious if she called him brother but man yes… Negative Siblings all the way and just Enemies big time. Rivals perhaps but I see the Enemies being STRONG with these two.)
“I… I don’t understand why you would ever want to help me. I’m stubborn and a fool besides.. you are aware of the ‘shame’ I brought to our house and the family name. No one wants to deal with a ‘Heretic’ in their family after all…” - Faust Greystone (OOC: Yessssssssssss I see that Guardian and Parental Figure being strone with Neena and Faust. He needs someone like that in his life to show him that things aren’t as bad as they might seem. And while Faust is a haughty and stubborn child he does suffer from the Trauma obviously)
“You wish to stand in my way? Good… I was hoping for a proper fight and someone who won’t break almost immediately…” - Lusaut de Durendaire (OOC: Man the stuff that would happen between these two… especially if Lusaut is down the ‘bad end’ path where he actually catches Faust… because daddy won’t need him anymore >.> I could see other options but Enemies = Yes on this one)
“Well, I wouldn’t be opposed to a friendship between Neena and myself. She certainly is interesting and I know I’ve… startled her from time to time with my visits to the area…” - Jacques Cresent (OOC: Big dragon needs more friends yes yes…)

How does [Rimoux] perceive [Neena] (blackmxgepyro - because I love talking about these two LOL)
Oh the question caused the Highborn Elezen to sneer, the way those eyes of his narrowed and how he looked like he wanted to choke the person asking him such a disgusting question to begin with. The look on his face was easily telling, it spoke volumes with how he thought of his family along with his dear ‘baby’ sister… the right to the House should have been his but no… she had to come in and ruin that for him.
It didn’t help that he had already screwed up his chances anyway with his… acts. And while Faust was long gone the blemish on his name was always going to be there… because not only did he bear a bastard child but that child was born from one of a… heretical race as many saw it. So, he had to cover things up to prevent his name being dragged about and being seen as a Heretic himself.
The dark look to cross his face as he reeled in his thoughts before crossing his arms “Pathetic… she is of little importance to me. A blemish on this families name and then some really… plus, she courts with the Dravanian’s… befriends the cursed beasts even… and we do not need another Heretic in this forsaken family…” he hissed “Now be gone… before I have you personally removed…”
