"I'm just fuckin' with ya, Saiga. Yeah, let's get up there and get this done." He didn't mind stairs. Fifth floor, though, that must suck. Then again, at least he didn't have to sleep at the Crown. That sucked even more, Jackson was willing to bet. He followed Saiga up to his apartment, and once they were inside, he looked around. "Looks like you conned other people into helping some, or did you move the rest yourself?"

"Chemicals don't bother me one bit. But I am curious, if you turned the bedroom into a dark room, the fuck did you sleep? You couldn't have been sleeping over at the Captain's place the whole damn time." He laughed and walker over. "Gonna have to show me which one is yours, I only knew which building you were in."

[txt] Yeah you'll hear me coming haha. Be there in a few.
It wasn't long before the heavy thud of bass could be heard, ad a big black pickup truck rolled up in front of Saiga's apartment complex. The music was turned way down, before the engine cut off and the dark, tinted windows rolled down. Jackson opened the door and hopped out, slamming the door, before coming around the truck to stand on the sidewalk. He was wearing his uniform fatigues and a black tank top. "So what all do we need to load up, then?"
[txt from Unknown] Don't ask how I got your number but I have a truck we can move your stiff with. It's Jackson, of the Wisemen? Yeah you know me.
[txt - UNKNOWN] Yea, I remember you. Also my number’s on record with Blackwatch and Gentek so there’s no real mystery here.
[txt - Jackson] I’d appreciate the help. Faster I can move my work gear the better.

One soldier stood out from the rest, in a couple of ways. The most obvious was the fact that his goggles had red lenses, instead of the standard blue. The one the Hunter would more likely pick up on, however, was his lack of a pulse, or, really, any vital signs at all. His voice crackled out. "Hold, there is something different about this one." He lowered his own weapon. The unit with him did not lower their weapons, but they did not advance, either.
"Why is it not attacking?" BAIOS mused, seemingly to himself. He watched the Hunter closely, waiting to see what it would do next.

Dangerous walking-meat-sticks too close. Dangerous walking-meat-sticks after Hunter. Must defend!
The beast hissed in hostility. The dangerous humans in black were trying to tail him again. He had grown skilled at hiding in alleyways and in dark corners, but the infrared technology they possessed was often a pain in the ass to avoid, especially since those infected by the virus often had astronomical body temperatures.
He bared his teeth and snarled, backing away and preparing to run.

She could not possibly be serious. But she clearly was. If his face had been visible, his expression would have been one of puzzlement. "I am not going to explain that. But clearly you are no monster. Merely lost. Very lost."
"A monster is not easily defined. The definition of it to which I am referring is: a creature who delights in the pain and suffering of others, taking lives without reason, especially those of the innocent. I know what Runners sustain themselves on. If you consume or harm people, you are my enemy, and I will not rest until you lie dead." Spoken with all of the emotion of one remarking on the weather…

He answered her readily. "I do not have a 'life' to swear on. But it is in my creed to protect the innocent, and to never bring harm to the undeserving. I hold the Red Line. That is all. I will not harm you unless you first harm me or the innocent. I will not prevent you from returning to your home. I will expunge all knowledge of this place and you from my databanks once I am safely home if that is what you require." He stared back at her, or seemed to; it was hard to gauge any expression from that inhuman mask. "Is that an acceptable response?"

BAIOS was trying to read the Runner, anticipate her mood. Being a machine, he was ill-equipped to do so, but he was a learning machine, so that helped. He lowered his weapon slightly. ”It is the fate of a monster to be killed. Are you monster or human? Virus notwithstanding, human is in how you act, not what is in your blood. Now are you monster or human?” The repetitiveness of the question rang with the inquiry of a true machine.

A millennium into the future? All of his targets would already be terminated. Or have overrun the earth. He turned his head slowly to look where she looked. Destruction. Ruin. Ungodly amounts of radiation. Life signatures lurking about, but most were animal. With all of this destruction, he had at least one concrete worry. How would he recharge his construct? He would have to conserve power for as long as he could. "I think it would be best I return as well. I am needed there." He turned to her. "Would you please help me do so?"

She stares at him blankly and raises her brow behind her mask, this guy is obviously not messing around at ALL. But she wonders how the hell did he get here.
"Hummm… I wonder.. So you didn’t see a sudden change of scenery? this is Aslgage City. The year is about… 3014 or so.. lost track after the apocalypse happened, No point anymore…”
She nods at him slowly
"There’s many safe spots in the city, most of it is underground and in bunkers where survivors use to take cover in when everything went down hill. And if you are capable of building a secure place before nightfall then all the power to you… But I think it’s best that we go back where you came from… I wonder if the portal is glitching? Good god I hope it didn’t rip open a dimensional rift…"
As they stood there, and observed the city of Aslgage, the city is very similar to both Tokyo and New York combined, however a lot of things were destroyed and it looks like wildlife is starting to over-grow in the city in some places. Also it looked like some of the Tech is slightly different. They are currently in a narrow part of the streets near by a park, the park had a lot of destroyed objects scattered about a flipped over car in the middle of a shallow and murky radio-active lake.

"Resistance is futile, Runner." This particular soldier had no heartbeat… or any vital signs at all, for that matter. It gave off little heat, as well. And that voice was inhuman. "You cannot escape your fate."

BAIOS took this in in silence. This wasn't what the construct had been expecting. Portal? What portal? At least he had multiple units, if this one got slagged in this strange place. "Radiation poses no threat to me," he told her in that staticky, almost robotic tone. "Delta, you are highly irradiated." He looked her over, lowering his weapon. "You are not entirely human." The blunt honesty of a machine. "I would like to see the safe places, please. I mean you no harm. You are not in my list of targets."

"Who the hell are these guys? these don’t look like the usual survivors in my world… I better keep my distance just in case"

"Stop where you are! Identify yourself!" The black-clad soldier turned slowly to face the other, the red lenses of his goggles glowing with a light of their own. His voice was barely even human.
