Gajeel had figured there would be nothing either of them could to stop Renji from leaving, if it would even happen...

The iron slayer would simply stay silent as he felt the shinigami's face rub against his chest, he'd pull Renji even closer, pressing them tightly together.

After a few moments of quiet thought, the iron slayer had made his mind up, in regards to the other man's question.

"There ain't anything really fuckin' here for me, if ya really needed t'fuckin' go. Course I fuckin' would."

The soft rumbling of Gajeel's voice was comforting as he lay against the dragon slayer, head pressed to the other's chest. He had been thinking a lot about not being able to return from where he came from - he was missing home quite a lot. But then the thought of not being able to see Gajeel anymore if he was able to return home had been an unpleasant one.

"It's just comforting," he mumbled, his voice muffled by Gajeel's shirt. He didn't elaborate further on what he'd been thinking, not wanting to burden the other with his dark thoughts. There was nothing that Gajeel could do for him.
