Interesting insights from Tobias on some of the songs from Infestissumam. From Metal Hammer Greece 4/2013:
[On Per Aspera Ad Inferi]
The march rhythm in the song implies how relentless we can be when motivated by ardent ambitions. Humanity has reached ground zero, we are eating our own flesh. We are blinded by the desire to fulfil our own personal ambitions, so that we do not consider anything else around us and drag the whole world, slowly and steadily, to its end. Satan leads man in a march to the end.

In Body and Blood you push us to eat the body of Jesus. Have you tasted his flesh? What does it taste like?
Yeah, a long time ago. It tasted like chicken. Anyway, we don’t push the listener into any act of cannibalism. The deeper meaning of “Body and Blood” refers not only to how extreme and disgusting Christianity can be, but also to the commercial industry that organized religion has evolved into: “Come, consume, it’s for everyone and it never ends”.

In the concerts you say that Monstrance Clock is about sex. The title sounds a lot like “monstrance cock”…
Precisely. At the end of the day, religion’s greatest fear is sex. The fear of freedom, the fear of pleasure. Why do you think Christianity has almost always separated the sexes and diminished womanhood? There are too many historical examples to mention here. But sex plays a big role within our human lives. The message of the song is very simple: sexual pleasure is not a guilt, it is not something that people should be forced to be ashamed of.
