Moving blogs

So because I’ve been so busy with school and motivation being sporadic in general, as well as a few other factors, I’m now moving blogs! I’ve been wanting a bit of a ‘fresh start,’ of sorts, for a while, and I feel this is the best way to go about that. A few things will change (namely I will be selective and private, for my comfort, but don’t let that discourage you from following or anything), but all in all, I’ll still be the same nerd with the same nerd muses, so yeah. Also, all threads will be dropped for now, but if you would like to continue a thread (feel free to ask on the new blog if we had one), then lemme know, and I’ll totally carry it over to the new blog. Small Hiatus

{] Hey everyone. As usual, sorry for my random inactivity. Had a busy week and I was definitely busy these past two days. You're doing a very good job with your writing for both Emiya characters well enough and you do well with the narration. Mainly Shirou being addressed in the first person, like in the Visual Novels and Archer in the third one. Keep going with it and if it's possible I'd like to have a chance to rp in a near future.

“Of course!” In all honesty, she’d expected him to shoo her out of the kitchen almost immediately, since he looked far more than capable of handling his own as far as cooking as a whole was concerned. But when he didn’t, she couldn’t help but smile, giving a few exuberant nods before heading to the other side of the counter to start getting everything else together. Anyone that had watched her work around the EMIYA household could most certainly tell that she’d come a long way from where she’d started out, the skill in which she got the spinach squared away and the salad ready almost rivaling that of the man opposite of her. She was definitely an exceptional junior, one could say.

“I’ll bring this over to the table, do you want me to start the tea when I’m done, senp–!” She stopped herself short, a hand covering her mouth at the slip she’d almost made. “S-Sorry, Archer..”

Sakura’s enthusiasm for being able to help cook brought a small smile and sense of content to Archer. To see her act in such a way was such a nice reminder of times long since passed. There was also a sense of pride in her as well. He could still vaguely remember Sakura’s skills with cooking when she’d started working at this household, as well as how far she’d come around the time his Holy Grail War began, and so on. To see that she had reached a level rivaling his own abilities made him feel like a proud parent or sibling.

Before he could delve more into those thoughts, his attention is brought back to the junior. He was well aware that her small slip of the tongue was merely an accident, but he couldn’t help but stare in surprise. For a moment, he’d almost thought...

“Ah—...think nothing of it, Sakura. You are used to cooking alongside Shirou, so such an error is understandable...”

Sakura lets out an exasperated sigh, though she still can’t help the fondness seeping into her voice.

“You’ll pass by the kitchen on your way here. Senpai could have passed me the tomatoes before you decide to put your head up in the clouds!” she chides lightly.

“The food isn’t going to disappear just because it’s empty for a minute or two. Saber-san is in the dojo right now after all.”

But still, she nods, taking the tomato taken out. “What were you thinking of earlier, Senpai? I didn’t interrupt you, did I?”

As Sakura makes note of the silliness of me having failed to hand over the groceries I’d brought despite the fact I could easily have done so when passing by the kitchen, my cheeks burn a bit as I laugh softly. How embarrassing of me to make such an error.

“H-Haha, right...my bad, Sakura.” I sheepishly reply, sighing to myself as we continued towards the kitchen.

Once we arrived, I began to remove all the groceries I’d bought from their bag. As Sakura spoke up, I turn to face her for a brief second.

“Ah—no, don’t worry Sakura.” Truthfully speaking, I was rather glad that Sakura had approached me when she did. Who knows how long I’d be sitting there and reflecting if she hadn’t. Nonetheless, that was only an answer to half of what she had asked. For a moment, I hesitate, glancing down at the table in thought, before deciding to speak up once more. I trust Sakura, and she trusts me, so there was no reason not to speak the truth.

“I guess I was just...I guess I was just thinking back to when dad had died a couple years back. For some reason or another, those memories were back on my mind...”

“…” His comment surprised her a bit more than she’d expected, eyes widening as she stared up at the archer before her. Did he really think that..? It wasn’t every day someone came along that did. She’d been resigned to her fate that Rin was definitely the better sister since her family sent her off to the Matou’s instead of keeping her along with her sister. That was just fact; they’d obviously keep the better of the two for themselves. 

“Do you really mean that, Archer..?” The question slipped out before she had a chance to stop herself. He’d technically already answered it himself as it was with his first statement. Did that mean she was looking for some sort of praise..? Most likely, and it was something that caught her off guard, considering how she didn’t see anything worth praising anyway. But those thoughts were better left to her internal turmoil, not something he needed to hear.

Hearing the girl’s response, the man turns a bit to face her. That look of awe and surprise staring at him...was this the first time he’d ever seen her wear such a face? He could not recall every detail like that from his life, for better or for worse. Nonetheless, it was clear to him that what he said had left quite the impression on her.

“Yes, Sakura, I do mean that. You should not sell yourself short. As I said, Rin is certainly amazing in her own ways, but so are you. You shine in your own way, and I believe you have the potential to surpass Rin in many areas.” He responds with an honest smile. He knew well of the struggles Matou Sakura dealt with, at least in regards to her own self-esteem. In his own life, he never truly could save her, something he had come to terms with now, seeing as he rarely was able to save anyone in general. But being with her now, he felt he could at least atone for those times and help her to the best of his ability.
