The fact that animals that care for their young will sometimes adopt others' lost or orphaned young to raise along their own is just funny to me. I know that it's all hormonal and there's no conscious thought involved in it, but the internal logic of it is so funny.

If you're able to command that protesters be peaceful, then you're able to command that the ruling class be peaceful. And if the ruling class were peaceful, the protests wouldn't exist.

i think susie is a foster kid. the foster system has deemed her a problematic child and they let her know that.

she keeps moving from place to place, being treated like a criminal and being told she's scary. so why shouldn't she be? it's not like anyone cares about her.

she's tired and angry and scared. she doesn't have a room. she doesn't have a family, she feels completely lost

and then she starts being friends with kris and their mother feels like everything she's always yearned for. she treats her with respect, she cared for her, she cooked a pie with her. she was a dream come true. so for a moment she indulged in the thought: wouldn't this be nice? to have the perfect mother, to be in a regular family?

she can scape to the dark worlds, but what if on top of that she had to somewhere to go back to once their adventures are over? to get endless eggs and pancakes for breakfast on the weekends. to be welcomed with a smile and open arms. to feel like she can let her guard down

she kept thinking about her fantasy as they got back to kris' home after closing the fountain at the church. they didn't get to the shelter but that's ok, they can try tomorrow. besides if she's lucky she might be able to stay at kris' again. she smiled as kris opened the door...

she's been around drunk people enough times to know it's not safe. her heart fell to the floor as her legs begged to run away. of course. there's nowhere to be safe and it was stupid to think otherwise.

Genuine friendly summer reminder for my fellow fat people.

We have more body than skinny people so we also contain more water and therefore need to drink more. 2 Litres is something skinny people need to drink we need more. I aim for 4 litres a day.

While any waterbased liquid is good try to not drink all 4 litres in coke or soda. I absolutley do recommend sport drinks or similar things. Fat people like us, or at least me, sweat a lot in this heat even without sport. Refill those electrolytes. Your body will thank you.

My go to drink at home is a 2 litre jug of water with just enough store bought raspberry or orange syrup that it has a taste thats not water.

Please stay hydrated in this heat and take care of your body. Its the only one you have.

the fact that literally all SCP games out there are just generic survival horror projects and that there's like basically nothing that actually utilizes the absolutely fuckhuge and extremely richly detailed (completely free to use in whatever way you want) world to tell an actually compelling story or even just do like literally any setting that isn't inside one of the facilities is genuinely such a tragedy. Give me a plot set amongst the rural Sarkics of like early 20th century Russia. Do a mystery/detective-style game set inside the academies of three Portlands. VA-11-HALL-A but you're a librarian inside the wanderer's library. UIU strategy game where you constantly encounter fucked up shit and have to use your very limited knowledge about the world you're in and even more limited funds to try and decide what incidents are worth investigating and how you deal with them like I am literally on my hands and knees begging. There's so so so much potential in this world that's just going completely unexplored when it comes to games pleeeease just do something other than escape from site 19 #1547786544 I'm actually starving here.
