gif Transition Tutorial
Step 1: Upload your images in Photoshop. If you already have images created... Save the images you want in a separate folder. To load them in Photoshop, click File > Script > Load files in stack.
Then select Explore and choose the files you'll use in your GIF. Click OK.
Photoshop will create a separate layer for each image you have selected. When you have done this, proceed to step 2.
If you have not yet created the series of images... Create each frame of the animated GIF as a different Photoshop layer. To add a new layer, choose Layer > New > Layer.

Be sure to name your layers so you can easily identify them when you create the GIF. To name a layer, go to the Layers panel at the bottom right corner of the screen, double-click the default layer name, and then type in the name you want to name the layer. Tap the Enter key when you're done.
When you have the layers ready and you have named them all, proceed to step 2.
Professional tip: If you want to combine layers to appear in a single frame in the GIF, turn on the visibility in the layers you want to merge (to do this, click the eye icon to the left of each layer's name so that only the eye icons of the layers you want to merge open). Then press Shift + Command + Option + E (Mac) or Shift + Ctrl + Alt + E (Windows). Photoshop will create a new layer with the merged content. You will need to rename this layer.
Step 2: Open the Timeline window. To open the Timeline window, go to the top of the navigation bar and select Window > Timeline. The Timeline window allows you to turn different layers on and off for different time periods. In this way, your static image will be transformed into a GIF.
The Timeline window will appear at the bottom of the screen as follows:

Step 3: In the Timeline window, click "Create Frame Animation". If the option is not automatically selected, choose it from the drop-down menu, but be sure to click on it; otherwise, the frame animation options will not be displayed.
Now your timeline should look like this:

Step 4: Create a new layer for each new frame. To do this, first select all layers by going to the top navigation menu and choosing Selection > All Layers.
Then click on the menu icon to the right of the Timeline screen.

From the pop-up menu that appears, choose Create New Layer for each new frame.
Step 5: Open the same menu icon on the right and choose "Create boxes from layers". This will transform each layer into one frame of your GIF.

Step 6: For each frame, select how long it takes before you switch to the next frame. To do this, click on the time lapse below each frame and choose how long you want the frame to appear. In our case, we'll choose 0.5 seconds per frame.

Step 7: At the bottom of the toolbar, select how many times you would like it to be repeated. The default is Once, but you can repeat it as many times as you want, even Always. Click Other if you want to specify a custom number of repetitions.
Step 8: Preview your GIF by pressing the play button. play-icon.png
Step 9: Save the GIF for online use. Are you happy with your GIF? Save it for online use. To do this, go to the top of the navigation bar and click File > Export > Save for Web (inherited).
Then choose the type of GIF file you want to save it with from the Presets drop-down menu. If you have a GIF with gradients, choose interpolated GIFs to avoid color fringes. If your image has many solid colors, you can choose not to interpolate the colors.
The number next to the GIF file determines the size (and accuracy) of the GIF colors compared to the original JPEG or PNG files. According to Adobe, a higher percentage of color interpolation gives the appearance of more colors and details, but increases the file size.
Click Save at the bottom to save the file to your computer. Done! You can now load this GIF and use it in your marketing strategy.
Upload the GIF file to any page or online site where you would put an image and it should play smoothly. That's how the GIF should appear:
