There's something I've noticed in a few fandoms that's hard to explain, so I'll try to script it out.

Black fan: I think this thing is racist!

White fan: [ignores them]

2nd white fan: I agree that this thing is racist!

White fan: Stop talking over POC! Real POC do NOT find this racist! You're forcing problematic accusations into a story where they don't exist! You're the real racist! [continues ignoring Black fans]

OOOOOHOOHOOO okay because I love it when this one happens! Particularly it's the "made up Black friend" that has always been a thing! Imma show y'all how to peep game, because I can't stand the shit. So, it's where people conveniently "know" a Black person when it comes time to defend something they like (or themselves).

The trick here, right? Is that this ONLY WORKS when you, the white person that responded, DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. So you'll get a white person with good intentions, but the moment one of their fellow whites starts speaking a little louder or tossing in "Academic" words, they get intimidated.

People like this struggle like crazy when you have an informed response. "You just said all that like I wasn't gone understand what you just said", essentially 😐🤷🏾‍♀️ Now, I'm not telling you to "own" the bigots every single time you see something. This isn't a silly game. What I AM saying is that if you actually press the issue, most of those people are either going to crumble apart, or they're gonna stand on their nonsense, but that nonsense is all they've got. They'll never bring that Black friend into existence, or they'll bring out one token. That's why they don't actually interact with real Black people- they're scared lol.

That's why every now and then if y'all actually DID say something, you'd break that status quo, even if it means to make it look less intimidating.

I know we are all used to hear bad news from the USA or UK when it comes to trans rights but this time Germany wants to play in the same league.

Our idiots at home ministry came up with the fucking idea to start a register for all transgender and nonbinary people which would mean every person working at some public position could always at any given time see your assigned gender at birth, your deadname, your address and who knows what else.

We had been there in the past. Hitler Germany called it the "Travestite Law" back then. Our politicians didn't learn.

We all know this is unacceptable.

Please, if you are German, sign it. If you are not, spread it wide and far.

This had been stopped once a few years ago. It needs to be stopped again.

And then like well. Here’s the thing. Dan is absolutely horrified utterly fucked up and this is one where everybody knows who was here—they had hand-calligraphied invites, for fuck’s sake. Jenny hand-calligraphied the invites, for fuck’s sake—and Bart Bass might not like his kid, but he’d come after the Humphreys like the wrath of God

Jenny is standing there shaking and she doesn’t even remember it happening but she also can’t. She doesn’t feel horrified like she’s supposed to, she doesn’t think. She doesn’t feel anything

And Serena can’t make this disappear but she can tell him to lie. She can break everything about this boy and tell him to lie because his little sister needs him to
