30 by 30 - Update

It’s been a few months since I made this list, and I’ve added quite a few items. I’m still considerably shy of 30 at 22 ideas, so I’m still calling for more ideas and suggestions! As before, the more positive, exciting and fun the better. 

(Having said that, I definitely don’t want any more suggestions for perseverance as these are incredibly time consuming!)

Go to a ball as a lady in full period dress

30 by 30

I recently turned 29 and, as I lay nursing the inevitable hangover that followed the first 28 years of my life, I decided it would be fun to do some bloody awesome things before I turn 30. Just to be even more extra, I’m actually born ON the 30th, so I decided to do 30 things - one a day - throughout September 2018*.

The only problem is, I can’t decide what the 30 things should be! I don’t want to do anything too scary or horrible (like holding a spider or jumping out of a plane) so I’m thinking upbeat, exciting, unique, bucket-list, never-before-done type tasks. I’ve split my ideas into four categories - Experience, Adventure, Perseverance and Amazement. I’d love some input and ideas for what I should add, and those that I like i’ll incorporate! Here’s what I have so far:

Experience

Eat Meat

Go gambling in Vegas

Cook lobster

Take part in the Crystal Maze

Adventure

Jump off a high up diving board (this was originally jump out of a plane, but I am so bad with heights I can’t even jump off a diving board, so I figured well.. why not do that?!)

Perseverance

Swim to an island in Loch Lomond

Learn a language

Write a book

Amazement

See the Northern Lights

Walk the Grand Canyon rim to rim trail

Faltering

To err is only human,

I found this during a recent house move. It’s on my old moleskin notepad paper, so probably written during my time at university on my way from point A to B. I don’t always like looking back at my old poems, and rarely write anymore, but I loved this one (even if it’s a little generic at first). It also hugely resonated with me, which seems odd as I don’t have any recollection of writing it in the first place!
