Adam Jorgensen found the coordinates to an ADVENT laboratory, which held alien intel and technologies that could be used by the XCOM forces. Caelyn was tasked with putting together a squad to retrieve info from the site, and she decided to bring a new recruit along, as it was expected to be an easy mission. That recruit was Cassy, a trained mechanic and gunsmith.
When they made their way to the lab, they were surprised to see that it seemed to be abandoned. Flashlights in hand, they trekked inside the eerie structure. They found bodies, both human and alien, and Caelyn knew something was amiss. As soon as the squad decided to turn back, hundreds of small snakes poured out of the cracks of the building. they turned to see a giant viper with cybernetic implants. It was known as the Viper King. As the snakes slowly slithered towards the soldiers, they used flamethrowers, grenades, and swords to keep the crawling masses at bay.
Cassy then turned to the viper king, and shot several mags at it - with only a few hitting their mark. The oversized snake spit up a freezing ball of ice towards her, and hit her in the arm. She then fired once more at the beast, and hit the snake in the eye. The king fell, and the smaller creatures retreated once more into the cracked foundation. Everyone celebrated this massive victory - through overwhelming odds - and retrieved schematics for new weapons and armor from the abandoned lab. Cassy is working with Adam Jorgensen and the other engineers of XCOM to make this new equipment. The scientists of XCOM consider Cassy to be a well spoken technician, but to the soldiers, she is known as the “Kingslayer.”

Things have been looking up for the XCOM Project. Multiple reconnaissance missions have been met with great success, and we have uncovered an abundance of supplies in supply caches and ADVENT transports.
With these supplies, the resistance was able to upgrade their radio station (run by Blake Peterson) and reach out to the entirety of North America.
Alec Shafer was given the task of traveling to different parts of what used to be the United States, in hopes of negotiating with scattered packs of resistance fighters. He was met with great success, and was able to talk them into joining the XCOM Project, as scientists, engineers, soldiers, and pilots.
Adam Jorgensen was able to lead a raid on a nearby ADVENT laboratory, and recover varied machinery and documentation on new armor pieces. Jorgensen was extremely pleased with his new work station - and quickly began to develop prototypes of new armor and weapons.
He developed a new suit of armor he nicknamed the “EXO Suit” (EXtremely Overpowered Suit) to allow our fighters to carry extremely large weaponry. The first suit was given to Caelyn Swendiman, along with a 7-M Class Minigun. Adam Jorgensen also insisted to outfit the suit with a wrist mounted rocket launcher.
Caelyn seemed to be trying to hide her joy as she put on the rocket-propelled gauntlet.

2 weeks after their latest operation, ADVENT forces have been quiet. It seemed like a normal day at XCOM’s Base of Operations, but it was going to be anything but.
Xcom received a distress beacon from their own safe haven. They were under attack by ADVENT - and they were killing all of the civilians that resided there. XCOM quickly put together a team, led by Caelyn Swendiman. Blake Peterson, Abby Kreger, and Omeed Feshami joined her in this strike of retaliation.
They were easily able to take out any of the squads of enemies they came across, but they were not prepared to combat an alien known as the “Faceless.” This giant hulk of flesh has large claws that can tear a man in half.
Omeed Feshami was shooting a small group of ADVENT soldiers, when suddenly a Faceless Mutant sprinted towards him from behind. Omeed turned to take on the massive creature, but he was too late. The hulk slashed Omeed’s ribcage, and threw the soldier to the ground. Abby was then able to dodge enemy fire, and still have the composition to shoot the giant alien through the head. Caelyn was then able to stabilize Omeed’s wounds, but it is unknown if he will make a full recovery.

After the recent successes of the XCOM Project, more and more rebels are asking to be a part of the Resistance. Omeed Feshami was the first of them to be recruited within our ranks, even with his... unique history.
Caelyn Swendiman was then tasked with a new mission. She was to put together a squad, and extract an important scientist from an ADVENT prison. She brought along Omeed Feshami, to observe his skills in the field. She also brought Abby Kreger, and Adam Jorgensen.
Adam easily hacked the locks on the scientist’s cell, and the squad was able to bring the woman outside. On their way to the extraction site, they were attacked by a patrolling group of guards. Upon seeing the Advent Guards, something in Omeed’s head snapped. Omeed rushed towards all of the guards, and killed all 7 of them before they had a chance to react.
They extracted the doctor safely, and no members of the squad were injured.

Operation Gatecrasher was a success. Militia cells were formed all around Eastern US - and a particularly large cell was formed outside Boston. It was named “The Vipers”, and it was lead by a man named Seth Kreger.
As the XCOM Coalition broadcasted recruitment messages throughout the entire nation, the Vipers were easily one of the first groups to show interest in joining. A few select members of the Vipers were chosen to be stationed aboard XCOM’s base of operations. These members were Adam Jorgensen - the Vipers’ cynical engineer, Abby Kreger - the Vipers’ finest sharpshooter, Phil Edmiston - their joyful demolitions expert, Nick Edmiston - a well trained swordsman, and Seth Kreger himself.
6 days after the Vipers were stationed aboard the Firebird, an XCOM scout named Blake Peterson returned from his reconnaissance mission. He informed the soldiers that the ADVENT Coalition has a communications center located in Boston. It was created to find the coordinates of the Vipers’ home.
XCOM quickly put a crew together, consisting of the Vipers themselves, and were sent to destroy the communications relay.
Abby Kreger was able to take down the patrolling squads around the station without missing a single shot. With all the enemy combatants killed, Phil Edmiston moved in the building to plant the explosives. The squad was blindsided when a hoverplane carrying reinforcements appeared above the communications center. Phil was surrounded.
Seth Kreger then heroically ran towards his outnumbered friend, and was able to kill the soldiers before they could harm Phil.
However, Seth was shot by a plasma launcher 3 times in the back before he could kill them all. Phil Edmiston carried his wounded partner out of the complex, and he detonated the charges on his way out.
Seth is expected to survive his injuries, but it will take at least 4 weeks for him to recover. As Seth was injured in the mission, Abby Kreger was promoted to be the leader of XCOM’s newly formed Viper Squadron.

The year is 2035. It’s been 20 years since the aliens took over Earth, and rid the humans of any freedoms they once had. XCOM was a military organization created to combat the invading forces, but they were unable to stop the horde of alien species from dominating the nations.
XCOM became nothing more than a resistance movement, forced to hide in the shadows - to avoid persecution from the powerful ADVENT Coalition.
Today marks the 5 year anniversary of Earth’s surrender to the ADVENT forces. Banners flood the street and posters are sprawled on buildings and homes. Humans are forced to celebrate the day, this “Unification Day.”
After 20 years of hiding, the XCOM Resistance organized a plot, “Operation: Gatecrasher,” to spread a message of liberty throughout the nation.
XCOM recruited 4 unlikely soldiers to be the spearheads of the operation. Pv. Alec Shafer was to be executed on Unification Day, as punishment for his crimes against the ADVENT Coalition. He was rescued during a covert operation - by officer Caelyn Swendiman. Private Tali Vas Normandy is part of a rogue alien species, and she works beside Officer Swendiman as her squad’s sharpshooter. Blake Peterson is a skilled fighter, and works in the squad as the scout. Together they launched an attack on the Unify Monument, a statue built in the honor of the ADVENT Forces.
With no friendly casualties, Caelyn was able to plant C4 on the historic sculpture - and decimate the malicious structure.
For her valiant efforts in the field, Caelyn was promoted to the leader of Raven Squadron, and is now XCOM’s lead demolitions expert.
Ehhhh, intros are weird. Hope you liked!
