Something a little bit different to get 2018 rolling! I’ve been out of action due to illness so this made for a great comeback. My word what a f*%king fun event to photo!! I haven’t shot any sports in about five years. With events like this, I’m left wondering why?! Note to self; do more of this stuff!!

Black and White Newcastle photography (Part 30)

Back after a long break. Here is a new instalment of my Black and White Newcastle series. I love Newcastle and I love black and white photography. So the two have to be combined 🙂

I thought I’d bring back the series with a special piece. I’ve walked past this monument for years, yet until I came up close with my camera I didn’t appreciate just how detailed and fascinating this sculpture really is. There is so much going on, so many stories and ultimately a sense of hope and pride. This coupled with St Thomas Church itself, a stunning piece of architecture, made me feel humble for living in such a historic city.

Every Time I Die – November 2017 – Newcastle Riverside

What is now becoming an annual masterclass in gig carnage without injury or damage ETID once again played a barrierless show and appeared to tear the place apart!

There were less crowd on stage moments this year for some reason even though the invites and no restrictions were there! That didn’t stop the show being a mass of stage diving/crowd surfing/circle pitting madness though! Sadly boss Graeme was ill so there was no tag team BSC for this one but enjoy the gallery.
