You lost only one pound? That’s still good. Not all progress is meant to happen quickly.
You only lost an inch off your waist? You’re still getting there. You lost one, you can lose more.
You stopped yourself in the middle of a binge? That’s actually amazing to not finish a binge considering it’s so hard to break sometimes.
Celebrating the small wins doesn’t mean you’re getting complacent. It just means you’re recognizing your progress. You should be proud of how far you’ve come, and how far you’ll go.

my tips for ⭐️ving and @na
- green tea, black coffee, apple cider vinegar drinks (!!!!!!!) and zero sugar sodas are your friend. they can act as a substitution for food cravings
- watching my 600 pound life
- listening to chewing sounds realllyyyy grosses me out and makes me lose my appetite.
- if I want to try something tasty: chewing it up & spitting it out.
- drinking lotsssssssss of water
- water flavorings help if you’re like me and you don’t like the taste of plain water sometimes.
- walking instead of eating
- buying healthy food that is boring and has little taste, ex. almonds, pre-cooked beets, boiled eggs, (though to be fair I do really like boiled eggs lol) kale, etc. even if you do give in to a binge, it’s likely you won’t be very motivated to eat much, and even if you do, it will all be healthy.
- i cut out meat for several years which helped with keeping my weight low, but I was also deficient of a lot of vitamins so this wouldn’t be my go-to for trying to lose weight.
- keep food in a locked compartment if possible. if you give in to cravings, the process of unlocking the compartment will give you more time to decide otherwise.
and here’s some things I remind myself for motivation:
- you’ll have no/low periods
- you’ll be able to spend your time doing stuff other than eating
- taking nice walks and appreciating nature if possible
- being so skinny everything looks good on you
- pushing your limits, seeing how far you can make your body work for you. it’s exciting, and gives me a lot of energy and motivation, knowing that if I can harness my own body and instill discipline in myself, there’s many other things I could be capable of.
- drinking water is healthy for you
- eating healthy food
- saving money on food for other things you enjoy
- bones are beautiful
- exercise is good for your brain, improves cognitive function
- the feeling of cleanliness that comes from being completely empty, and having no bowel movements for days on end. you save money on toilet paper 😉
- being able to train your body to be able to go for long periods of time without food, which is helpful if you have a job or go to school
- sharing food with others so you don’t eat it yourself is a nice thing to do, a generous gesture.
- sleeping instead of eating ensures that you’ll always get a good, healthy amount of sleep

Losing weight slowly is still losing weight.
I repeat: Losing weight slowly is still losing weight!
Losing half a pound a week is still losing half a pound.
Losing 1 inch off your waist a month is still losing an inch.
So many times we get mad at ourselves because we don’t think we’re losing enough. Don’t beat yourself up for losing “too slowly” because it’s better to lose slowly than not at all.
Yes it’s frustrating to feel like you’re making no progress, but I promise even the tiniest step is still a step.

Take it from someone who has started a calorie deficit many times and stuck to it:
1. The first three days, you will be starving. It will be constant. It will suck. I cannot sugarcoat it.
But the good news is it doesn’t stay that miserable forever.
2. The first week you will have food noise. The physical hunger will go away, and the mental hunger will almost be worse. Do not give in or you will have to start at step one again.
3. After a week it starts to become a habit. The food noise is still there. But you have learned not to listen to it. You have learned to distract yourself with other things that you enjoy. (Since eating is not that much fun anyway)
4. After two weeks, it will become a habit.
Even if it seems hard to start back up again after a binge or a period of over eating, those first few days are the hardest. If you’re stuck in a binge restrict cycle, you’re never gonna get past that point of hunger and food noise.
Trust me, it’s worth it.
