anyway have any of you ever thought about how Jason was raised by wolves and then an army and told he had to be the best so he became the best, made himself the best using his experiences and power, who has to prove himself time and time again to the people who made him, and then he meets Percy Jackson who, with almost none of Jason’s training, without having been raised and molded into a leader, is better than him

Percy Jackson, who had a childhood, who had a mom, who seems all the better for it. Jason can finish his quests and missions and get a pat on the back and congratulations for bringing honor to the Legion and nothing else because that’s what’s expected of him, while Percy gets hugs and cookies and tears of relief and so much love because people had been hoping he’d succeed, not because it meant victory, but because it meant he'd live.

all of the things Jason’s gone through to make him that perfect leader and soldier feel like they were all for nothing because he looks at Percy Jackson and sees that perfect leader and soldier and none of the things that made Jason good are what made him great

When Isaac lived with Derek he would obsessively tidy up the loft, to the point were he would clean up the kitchen as he ate dinner just so that Derek wouldn't find a dirty kitchen.

Derek finally realised Isaac's father had expected Isaac to do every single house chore, so he started cleaning te loft before Isaac got home to school so that the kid would feel safe to relax in his own home.

So this is really awesome! These are Disney princesses reimagined as disabled and drawn with service dogs. The artist, Arien Smith, drew these in 2017, but they have become viral only recently. Arien features all types of dogs in his portrayals as a way to educate about disabilities and service animals. He also does other dog related art. Arien can be found on Facebook under Royal Service Dogs or the major barkana. His website is https://themajorbarkana.com .Hopefully more artists, or, you know, actual major film/tv/book creators begin to incorporate disabilities and service animals rather than pretending like they don’t exist (but that’s a different rant for a different day, 🙃).

for the record if it has hebrew on it and it doesnt have anything to do with judaism its probably appropriative

dont wear a magen david if youre not jewish, its used as a symbol for judaism so wearing it if youre a gentile is appropriative

while im at it heres a rundown of some terms you should know

goy: hebrew and yiddish for non-jewish person, it literally translates as “nation.” the plural form is goyim. goy is not a slur.

gentile: english for non-jewish person

anti-semitism: you probably know what this means but i just want to point out that the word anti-semitism was NOT coined by jews but by a german anti-semite who wanted a more scientific-sounding alternative to “judenhass,” which literally translates to “jew-hatred” so please shut up about how arabs are also semites. we know.

if you’re not jewish you should also avoid using the word “jew” since many jewish people are uncomfortable with it (though i personally am fine with it). use “jewish person” instead if youre a gentile

please reblog this if you’re not jewish, i almost never see gentiles acknowledging cultural appropriation of judaism and anti-semitism on tumblr, even among people who otherwise pay close attention to such issues

Idk could be that black women feel like they have to fit into european beauty standards and that includes getting nose jobs, perming their hair, etc. So when this black woman decided that she wanted to embrace her authentic hair, it is a momentous occasion because she is embracing her natural self in a world that frowns upon that and she doesn't care because she is living her best life.
