somebody on tumblr with no air conditioning: I hate how heat is inescapable. When it's too cold I can always just wear more clothes, drink a cup of hot tea, move myself around more, and DO SOMETHING about it, but in heat I can't just??? take my skin off?? eight people manifesting out of nowhere: Excuse me but... I cannot maintain body temperature on my own and I need the room temperature to always be at 36.5–37.5 °C or I die. I weight 35 kg and 31% of my body weight is bone mass. I do not secrete enough oil in my skin or scalp to need a shower every month but every time I need to be transported in or out of the shower I almost die from hypothermia. I also have to wear floaters when I shower because I have no buoyancy and I sink like a rock whenever I come into contact with water. I spend my life in one of those neonatal oxygen boxes that they keep premature infants inside because I am too fragile to exist. Surely our situations are the same and you must understand that cold is so much worse for poor little me than heat is to you.
