Documentation of various videos installed by projecting largely across two conjoining walls. In installing the work I was experimenting with the different connections the videos could make between each other and gain a better understanding of where I would like to continue with my practice.

Skin (2016) stills
Skin layers my back and moving shoulders with the bark of a tree in pink hues. The work focuses on the movement of the two images together over the time as my skin moves in the frame.

Thimbles (2016) stills
The video Thimbles follows my finger toped with a thimble helmet exploring the natural landscape. The narrative shows the curious, and at times almost apprehensive, character across several close up scenes reaching no conclusive resolution and rather presents as a reflective space to arise thoughts about environment, the feminine and our place in the world.

Scoobie (2016)
Using scobbie patterns I played with when I was younger I have twisted found electrical wire into a small sculptural form. The small structure stands erect from the floor of the gallery and I think would be effective on mass as it would draw attention to the viewers movement throughout the space.

Flower (2016) stills
I have spent a lot of time experimenting with manipulating my face into a flower formation and this version is the cleanest to date. I plan to continue using this image in several different works, editing it into more landscape works as discrete elements.
Flower (2016) shows a digitally manipulated moving image of my face into the shape of an orchid-like flower. My mirrored face, conjoining at the centre, is the focal aspect with each petal moving in unison atop a notably smaller flower stem with a flat pastel green backdrop. The environmental aspects presented in extremely constructed forms locate the work as ecologically driven while referencing and expanding on technological themes. Flower (2016) explores the temporal connotations of the flower in the classical still life and reflects on the ornamentation of women and nature. It further explores how artificiality is changing the notions of beauty surrounding each, by engaging with ideas surrounding the change in our perceptions because of communication devices and transgenic science in an appropriation of nature with the use of repetitive imagery.

Cycloptic Snap (2016) stills
I have generated my Snap artworks with the social media app Snapchat by using the popular 'face swap' function with myself and a tree. This has produced several interesting results as the app cannot find the facial features it needs in the tree to accurately swap my face out.
