The protrusions were wood as promised, the rough texture of oak wood gracing Hermie's finger for hardly a moment before the Eladrin was gone, leaving only fluttering autumn leaves in their wake. Immediately after their disappearance a sense of calm and warmth would pass over Hermie, a comfortable feeling skin to a warm campfire on a cold autumn day. Turning around they would find Blink behind them wearing that warm, caring smile, clearly the source of the comfort.
