Okay, so I have to ask now after seeing your last post: What sort of writing career do you have now? Are you a novelist? (clearly you can write novels!)

Do you write for a magazine? A newspaper? Website? Instruction Manuals?

I ask only because I'm legitimately curious where your writing career led you from the writing here on Tumblr!

So I do investigative journalism and am a digital reporter so I do write for “newspapers” (everything is digital now but my mommy has a few papers where my name is). I always loved writing but I loved telling peoples stories more than anything. I have been lucky enough to go to a really good journalism school, work for big name people, and travel for work🩷🩷

You know what’s crazy about this, I wrote that series into an entire novel counting 300+ pages so in a way I have written an epilogue and more than anyone has ever seen here. Hi dear!! I know you sent this a few days ago and I’m sorry for the late response. Personally, sophomore year was my favorite year and yeah going back to school is always scary but I know you can do it and once you’re a few weeks in everything feels fine. I feel like everyone is facing some sort of burnout rn and my only advice is to balance your school with your relaxing time. Make sure you have days just for yourself or for something you enjoy to avoid getting burnt out. But just have fun! You’re almost done and high school goes by so so quickly.

Stay the night prompts

In the early days of July, the London air was never fun. Summer nights consisted of open windows and lighter sheets but that was not enough for Tom tonight.

From tossing and turning, Tom grew envious of the way you curled up and slept peacefully. He had tried blankets to no blankets, he had tried water to tea to even listening to one of those meditation podcasts you always say put you to sleep. Nothing worked. He stared at the ceiling as if it was all he had left, occasionally glancing over to you to see if you had woken. It was selfish of him to wish you were awake but he missed you and needed a way to put himself to sleep.

“Tom?” Your voice cracked as you rubbed your eyes, slowly waking to the sight of your boyfriend shirtless sitting up in bed. “What’s wrong? A nightmare?” Your hand rests on his chest trying to feel his heartbeat.

“No darling,” he sighs looking down at you as if you are the prettiest thing on earth since to him, you are. “Go back to sleep.” He hums and you move so you sit up next to him.

“What is it then?” Now curious, he knows you won’t leave him be or go back to sleep until you have an answer and solution.

“Can’t sleep ‘tis all.” He lets his hands intertwine with yours as your head falls against his chest.

“Oh.” Was all you said, he waits before he says anything knowing you always have a list of solutions for everything even though he’s already gone through all the ways he could sleep. “Have you tried tea?” You wondered.

“Yup.” He nods and you let your fingers draw traces over his bare stomach.

“Reading?”

“Yup.”

“Stretching.”

“Yup.”

“Okay, how about a podcast?” Thinking you’ve got him he lets his head fall back against the headboard.

“Yes, I even tried one that talked about the history of the Hoover dam thinking I could bore myself to sleep but it was actually quite interesting.” He tells you which gives you a slight laugh.

“Didn’t even know there was a thing.” You hum thinking some more. The clock read 4:45, you had no idea how long he had been awake thrashing himself around trying to sleep but all you knew was that he had worked for six months straight and needed this sleep.

“Hmm,” you let your fingers fall down to his sweat-shorts. “Have you tried this?” You let your fingers slip in between the band and gently feel the tip of him.

“N-No.” he hummed as you let your fingers wrap around him gently.

“Do you want to try this?” You look up seeing his eyes gently flutter shut and his Adam’s apple bob as he swallows hard.

With a nod, you allow yourself to move faster. Your hand wraps fully around him as you move up and down, placing soft kisses along his chest and up his neck. Too tired yourself to go down on, he understands as his hands grip the sheets and he arches his hips upward.

“D-Don’t stop.” He whines as he tries to match a pace with yours but the two of you grow more tired as he comes close.

With a few more lazy pumps and his hips barely keeping pace anymore, you feel his release in your hands and slowly pull away from him.

As he catches his breath and finally finds his energy cooling down, you manage to slip away and wash up before joining him back in bed.

“Do you need me to…” he offers letting his hands wander down your sides and you shake your head.

“You can return the favor in the morning.” You tell him and he huffs wishing you two could go all night—or at least all morning—but he needed sleep and you had work so there was no late nights between you two.

With his arm wrapping around your waist, he brings his face to the back of your neck inhaling the soft scent of your shampoo before finding himself drifting to sleep. In the morning, he knows he will make enough time to return the favor but for now you will only see each other in one another’s dreams.

 lying on the couch on top of eachother, one combing their fingers through the other’s hair as they watch a movie 

 waking their partner up for work when they notice their alarm didn’t go off 

 alternatively: allowing their partner to sleep in because they were overworked anyway and need the rest. 

 one waking up before the other, so they make up their side of the bed and can’t help but tuck in their sleeping lover as they do so. 

 giving the other a spoonful of the meal they’re cooking to test it out, holding their hand under their chin so nothing falls. 

 one is sick, so the other heats up a blanket in the dryer to give it to them while they rest on the couch. 

 listening to music together while they both take the day to clean around the house (maybe even getting a little distracted to dance instead)

 calmly reassuring the other it’s okay when they drop a glass, gently checking their hands for any injury.

 smiling across the table when their cheeks are full of food and look quite cute.

Cozy night prompt list🧸

With the latest threat on queens you had been a bit uneasy. The spill of new villains and peter keeping his hands full, you hadn’t seen him or even heard from him for a few nights and had worried constantly. Had he been safe? Had he been alive? Kidnapped? Bleeding somewhere? You wouldn’t know. Your only hope was that he slipped through the window in one piece.

With the new threat, you had been at risk. Like all of his enemies they scouted out what he had loved the most, you. You were the first target of the newest enemy which caused peter to hide you away.

The day quickly turns into night as you use the sounds of the news to drown out your worries, hoping there would be some sighting of Spider-Man for them to report on. The kitchen smells of herbs and slightly burnt oils as you try out a new recipe. every few seconds you glance over to the window to see if your boy has slipped through.

With a little bit of a longer wait, you hear the squeaking sound of the window tearing up and see the red and blue suited boy come through the window with a huff leaving his lips out of breath.

“Peter!” You sigh, dropping everything you rush over to him. Wrapping your arms around his body tightly he returns the love with his only slightly tighter.

“I’m okay, I’m okay.” He reassures before pulling back. “Are you okay?” He holds your face and you furrow your brows.

“Am I okay? I’ve been locked up in here! The question should be are you okay?” You ask even though he had already told you—you didn’t exactly believe him until the suit came off—you still knew to ask.

“I’m okay, see? All in one piece.” He presses his suit for it to fall off. Few scratches and marks litter his back but nothing serious.

But the most important question has yet to be asked, “c-can you just stay here? And hold me. Maybe? No more patrol for the night.” You eagerly hope as he turns to you, only in underwear, a weak smile rises to his lips.

“I’ll be here the whole night okay?” He walks up, resting his hands on your cheek seeing the worry in your eyes. “Nothing will get to you while I’m here.” He presses a kiss to your forehead with dry, cracked lips that desperately needed to be cared for just like the rest of him.

You smile, resting your forehead to his just taking him in for the first time in days. He was yours, right here he was all yours and nothing would happen to you. Nothing would—

“What’s that smell?” He asked as he lifted his forehead from yours. The moment ruined as you could smell the burning kitchen whipping your head around to see smoke coming from the oven.

Quickly rushing to take out the attempted lasagna and turning off the stove, you look at peter with a sorry look before sighing.

“Does your superhero abilities expand to cooking?” You joke and he walks over to your phone on the counter.

“I’ll order take out.” He suggested and you nod as you grab the phone from him.

“Or you shower and I order takeout. You kinda stink.” You tease and he pretends to be offended.

“I thought you said I was sexy after patrol?” He comes closer, your thighs touching the counter.

“You’d been gone for six days. I haven’t even known where you’ve been Pete, how do I know you’ve been showering? How do I know you’ve been eating a-and safe and—“ you start to ramble and he lets his hands fall to your shoulders.

“I was safe, I-I had to stay away. I can’t risk anyone following me back here, not until everything is taken care of okay? I can’t have anything happen to you…I can’t loose you.” He swallows hard and you nod knowing how much he had been through.

“I know.” You sigh. “So let’s just get food and go to bed yeah? Please?” You redirected the conversation to where it originally started.

“Yeah.” He kissed your lips for the first time in the past six days before walking off to the shower.

When he comes out fresh and clean you already have the Thai food that was his favorite ready. His hands never left you the entire night and he checked at least four times to make sure the doors and windows were locked. After that he was all yours, holding you making sure nothing happened to you both. he couldn’t risk anything happening to you.
