Hardik and Rahul will return from Australia, Suspended from the team!

Indian cricket team opener Lokesh Rahul and all-rounder Hardik Pandya have been suspended from the Indian team. Both have been recalled from Australia. Hardik-Rahul will not be part of the team until the investigation is completed. Hardik gave a controversial statement in Karan Johar's TV show 'Koffee With Karan'. Hardik made some derogatory comments on relationship with many women and use of condoms. With this statement, the entire team, including captain Virat Kohli, had separated himself. Meanwhile, the Star Network has removed the controversial show 'Koffee with Karan'. Vinod Rai, head of the Committee of Administrators (COA) formed by the Supreme Court, informed about this. He said, "Pandya-Rahul has been suspended from the team until the investigation is completed." This decision was taken after the proposal of COA member Diana Edulji. Edulji had demanded the ban of two matches. However, the legal team of BCCI was not accepting the statement given in the chat show against the Code of Conduct. After the controversy, Hardik had apologized, "I went on a chat show, I made some comments and during this time I did not pay any attention to the fact that it might hurt someone's feelings. AP CM Chandrababu Sankranti Gift, Pension Raised to Rs.2,000 from Rs.1000

AP Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu gave a big gift during Sankranthi. Chandrababu decided to increase the pension to Rs 2,000. This statement was made by the Chief Minister in Nellore district. This is major announcement comes during the election year when Andhra Pradesh will hold both the general election and state assembly election in May. It is estimated that about 54 lakh people will benefit from the pension increase including, older people, widows, single women, handloom workers will be benefited. As many as 14 states in India currently provide a monthly pension of Rs.500 or less per person, as per the State of Pensions in India Report 2018. Special Status To Andhra Pradesh If Voted To Power: Rahul Gandhi in Dubai

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that if his party comes to power in the forthcoming general elections, Andhra Pradesh will be given special status. Rahul Gandhi, the President of the Indian National Congress, arrived in Dubai on Thursday night for his two-day tour of the UAE. On Friday, he visited the workers' accommodation at Jebel Ali industrial area. He made his first speech and had conversations with the blue-colored workers. Gandhi said, "As soon as our government comes to power we will give Andhra Pradesh a special state status." Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were split into two separate states on June 2, 2014. Sunanda Pushkar Case: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor Charged With Abetting Suicide

NEW DELHI:  Delhi Police has filed a charge sheet in the Sunanda Pushkar case accusing her husband and Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor of abetting her suicide. The charge sheet was on the basis of medico-legal and forensic evidence.  The 3,000-page charge sheet alleged that Tharoor had subjected his wife to cruelty. Delhi Police stated, "On the basis of medico-legal and forensic evidence analyzed during the investigation as well as the opinion of psychological autopsy experts, the charge sheet was filed. The matter is sub judice." Mr. Tharoor has denied the charges and called them "preposterous". Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in luxury hotel suite in Delhi on January 17, 2014. Before her death, she accused Shashi Tharoor of having an affair with a Pakistani journalist. Good News For Andhra Haj Pilgrims: Jaleel Khan Secures Funds

Post bifurcation, the issue of accommodating Haj Pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh in Telangana Haj House has been ignored.  AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and minority leaders thought that it would be better to have a separate Haj House in Vijayawada within two years of bifurcation. Taking the initiative, Vijayawada West MLA, and Wakf Board Chairman, Jaleel Khan went ahead with the plan and was able to secure designs and funds for the same.  Presenting the designs to CM Chandrababu Naidu along with other minority leaders and Engineers,  Jaleel Khan said that the state-of-the-art facility is built with international standards, and would cost around Rs. 80 crores.  The Hajj House will be constructed with the cost of 70 to 80 Crores in Kummaripalem, Vijayawada limits. Chandrababu Naidu has already sanctioned 35 Cr for it.  This will cater to the needs of  Hajj pilgrim from all 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. CM Chandrababu will lay the foundation stone for the proposed Hajj House on 5/12/2018 and the project will be completed in 2 years. Hajj Committee is also constituted as a part of this exercise. Haj Committee is constituted for making arrangements for the pilgrimage of Muslims for Haj. It discharges its function through a committee constituted by Government and it follows the guidelines and directions issued by Central Haj Committee, Mumbai, Ministry of external affairs and Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time. The main aim of the Andhra Pradesh State Haj Committee is to provide assistance to the Haj Pilgrims including in the matter of their transport between their home states and the point of exit from India and their transit accommodation at points of exit.   Read the full article

Karnataka Elections Update: Thousands Of Fake Voter Ids Recovered

Election Commission has postponed the election date after getting thousands of fake voter ID cards in RR Nagar assembly constituency of Karnataka. According to the Election Commission, elections will now be held on May 28 in RR Nagar. Earlier, the elections were to be held on May 12 with all the seats of the state. It is worth mentioning that on this Tuesday, 9,746 fake voter e-cards were received from a flat in RR Nagar on Tuesday. "Every voter has freedom to cast his vote in a free and fair manner without facing any inducement. In this particular instance, free exercise of electoral rights has been compromised at a large scale in a systemic manner," the EC said. The BJP alleged that this apartment belongs to a Congress leader, and at the same time, the Congress reversed the BJP's allegations. Congress spokesman Randeep Surjewala on Wednesday claimed that the apartment belongs to a BJP corporator Manjula Nanjamuri . Showing some news reports, he said that the name of the BJP's Nanjamuri was included in the candidates who lost in the corporation elections. Nanjamuri is now a councilor from HMT ward. Surjewala also claimed that the name of Nanjamuri's son Rakesh was also on the BJP list in the 2015 corporation elections. Corruption In India Growing, Slips To 81st Position: Transparency International

After the UPA government, BJP came into power back in 2014 with the agenda of removing corruption as its top priority. As per the latest reports by Transparency International, India has been ranked 81st in the global corruption perception index for 2017 compared to its 79th position in 2015. The Transparency International rated India as among the "worst offenders" in terms of graft and press freedom in the Asia Pacific region. The Transparency International ranked 180 countries on the basis of levels of public sector corruption which uses a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is highly corrupt and 100 is very clean. India's scored at 40. In 2015, the score was 38. Pakistan is placed at 117th position with their score of 32. New Zealand and Denmark are most non-corrupt countries with  scores of 89 and 88, respectively. Whle Syria, South Sudan and Somalia were at the bottom with scores of 14, 12 and 9, respectively. The best performing region is Western Europe with an average score of 66. The worst performing regions are Sub-Saharan Africa (average score 32) and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (average score 34). Transparency International said, "in some countries across the region (Asia Pacific), journalists, activists, opposition leaders and even staff of law enforcement or watchdog agencies are threatened, and in the worst cases, even murdered. Philippines, India and the Maldives are among the worst regional offenders in this respect. These countries score high for corruption and have fewer press freedoms and higher numbers of journalist deaths". Also analysis of the results indicates that countries with the least protection for press and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) tend to have the worst rates of corruption. Kamal Haasan Launches Makkal Needhi Maiam Party - Centre for People’s Justice

Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan has finally started his political journey from Abdul Kalam House. He has formally announced the name of his political party as Makkal Neethi Maiam (Centre for People’s Justice) in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. He said that he is just a tool, not a leader and it is a party of leaders. While speaking at the ceremony, Kamal Haasan took a shot at his critics, Haasan said: "Tamil Nadu’s soul is burning today. TDP MLAs To Return To YSRCP: Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Sai

AP Special Status 'Litmus Test' For TDP

The fight against the center for special status for AP has intensified as YSRCP leader YS Jagan and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kaylan called for No-Confidence motion against the BJP in the parliament. This has become a hot topic in the Andhra Politics. While speaking at a rally in Prakasam district on Sunday, YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy said that his party is ready for a no-confidence motion on the NDA government at the Center for special status. This is in reply to Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan’s call to all parties to align and fight against the Modi Sarkar for AP special status. Pawan Kalyan advised that TDP and YSCRP  to set aside differences and join hands to  fight for the cause of Telugu people. Detailing the motion, Pawan Kalyan said,  “The YSR Congress can approach the Secretary General of Lok Sabha immediately. The party should move the motion by March 4, so that the issue will come up for debate in the House on March 5”. Amrapali Weds Sameer Sharma In Grand Cermony

The father of Amarapali is Kata Venkatareddy from Visakhapatnam. He is a retired professor at Andhra University.
