“The Shack”
“I don’t need to punish people for a sin. Sin is its own punishment.” .- Win Paul Young, The Shack.
At this time of the book, God and Mack are in God’s garden watching a little tree  growing  and he was asking him why he has being punished with his daughters dead.
In truly believe that God is not a punisher and he does everything he do because life is a cycle and if somethings bad happens to you it’s because he’s making you stronger for the future.

“The Shack”
“If you’re going to love deeply, you’re going to get hurt. But love is worth it.” .- Win Paul Young, The Shack.
In the book, Mack walking with Jesus and talking to him about how he really miss his daughter and how much he loves her. I really feel this quote and is one of my favorites of the book because in life you meet people who are really worth it and they deserve all the love of the world.
But whatever happens to that person it will affect you, and when that person leaves it would be the worst pain you could ever feel.

Me before you
“Some mistakes... Just have greater consequences than others. But you don't have to let the result of one mistake be the thing that defines you. You, Clark, have the choice not to let that happen.“ Will says yo Emily this quote when he starts falling in love with her, he this is that his mistakes were going to affect the person he loved the only reason he had to life for. He thought that he would just be dead weight to her and he didn’t want that in her life. What the real meaning of this quote is is that it doesn’t matter how big your problem is everything has a solution and you shouldn’t let something that can be fixed or betters ruin the only life you have so you should leav it full and don’t live in the past thinking what I could’ve bien only what it is and take the best out of it. -Jimena Luján

If I stay
“Sometimes you make choices in life and sometimes choices make you” This quote is one of my favorites since is something that I find very true, life is always full of desicions and sometimes is very hard to choose what’s right. Everyday we have to choose between small choices that are easy and don’t always afect us, but sometimes we have to choose between things that may seem stupid but could actually afect to the person you are or the life you’ll have. -Jimena Luján

“The best people all have some kind of scar” This quote was said by America the main character, she said this to her first love Aspen. What she was trying to say was that everyone no matter how good they are have something that hurts, that even the best people can be harmed it doesn’t matter hoy good you are sometimes you will be hurt and it’s okay if you have something that your not proud of what matters are the actions your doing to change it. This means that your giving the best of you every day and not giving up, it doesn’t matter what you’ve done only what your doing and this is what makes good people. -Jimena Luján

The kite runner
There are times in life of uncertainty, of tension, of pressure. When I do something I know is not right I almost always fear of the consequences, I am aware that what I am doing is wrong and yet I still do it knowing it could ruin mine or someone else’s life, it may not go that far but still “It may be unfair, but what happens in a few days, sometimes even a single day, can change the course of a whole lifetime.” (Khaled Hosseini) This quote also applies in good situations but the fear is always of the bad consequences. For example when I cheat on an exam there are two ways the situation may go, I can pull it off or I can get caught, get expelled from school, have a fight with my parents and ruin my life.

The Curious Case Of The Dog In Night-Time
When he´s comprehending his name, and making sense on what her mother says about his name, he tells the next quote:
“Mother used to say that it meant Christopher was a nice name because it was a story about being kind and helpful, but I do not want my name to mean a story about being kind and helpful. I want my name to mean me.”
This is an interesting passage. We might expect it to express Christopher's desire for uniqueness and individuality, but he doesn't actually seem too concerned with that at all. So, what else is going on here? One thing we can point out is how completely he disregards the story as being "kind and helpful," as if he can't connect with that sort of thing at all. But his real problem seems to be the notion that the name Christopher can stand for multiple things: that story, being kind and helpful, and he himself. He wants words to mean one thing and only thing only.

To kill a Mockingbird quote 3
Scout and Jem were visiting a woman called Mrs. Dubose who was old and punishing the kids for destroying her plants. This quote comes at the end of the chapter when Mrs. Dubose passes away and Atticus is talking to Jem.
“I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what.” (Lee, 128)
This quote is very important because it is a stepping stone in Jem’s development because of his mentality that courage is about a man being ready with a gun to defend themselves. It essentially marks a contradiction in the common misconception that courage is a masculine thing and that courage is a thing that everyone has.

The queen of the Tearling
In the book “The Queen of the Tearling” by Erika Johansen, The purpose of the author is to transmit beauty in a different way from almost every writer. Johansen describes the main character who is a princess as a brave woman but doesn’t focuses on her beauty, instead she focuses in the meaning of life and emphasize the difference of a meaningful life than a happy life and that happiness doesn’t comes from Beauty, it goes far beyond that. “You think of beauty only as a blessing, Majesty, but it brings its own punishments.” ( Johansen, Ch 4). This quote has a huge impact on society and a great significance. It means that everything in life needs to have a balance and sometimes people thing that beauty is the key to happiness, however many times it attracts you more problems and torments. I chose this quote because the moment I read it it reminded me to something my mom always used to tell me, “ the luck of the ugly, the pretty one wants it” which is very true because many times you trust so much in your beauty that you stop worrying about enriching your soul, however when your not pretty on the outside you try to take out the best in you. It also relates to the quote in the story because with beauty comes envy from a lot of people and with envy comes problems. Ximena Couttolenc

“You can be brave, and still be feminine. You can lead and still love flowers. Most importantly, you can be queen and still be a bride”
This quote it’s from “The heir” the 4th book of the selection, and someone said it to Eadlyn, the daughter of Maxon and America. She was afraid of becoming a braid, because she thought that marrying someone will automatically became her into a weak little princess, but that’s not true, and relating this with the society in which we all live know, it’s really accurate. Everyone lives in an stereotype where if you like flowers, wear pink, or you are married, that makes you a weak women, and that’s not true, you can be brave and still like pink, you can de an independent women, and still love a men, and your tastes do not define how strong or weak you are, it doesn’t matter if you are a girl or a boy, those little things do not define you.

Anna and the french kiss
“The dream of becoming a grate south writer vanished, and the desire to simply see his work published took over it”(Stephanie Perkins, p.10) Anna says as she describes how her family became rich. Have you ever wonder if your dreams are dumb?, I’m sure everyone has at a point of their lives, but as fool as they could sound I be of the opinion that you should go after your dreams even if you think you can’t achieve it, because it gives you a different perspective about how you see things. And if you don’t have a dream... well you should, it could be from a simple thing to I don’t know winning a novel price, but it should be something you should really desire to accomplish. Anna and the French kiss
There is a phrase in this book, that people tend to say a lot; Meredith and Anna were talking about their feelings towards the boys they liked, Meredith said to Anna “Before loving someone else you should love yourself”(Stephanie Perkins, p. 115) , and I kind of disagree with these phrase, because I think is totally possible for you to love someone else before you love yourself entirely; I faithfully consider that people can give other people the love, affect, or however you want to call it, that they don’t necessarily have for themselves. Although it’s really, really important to love yourself, I believe that shouldn’t limit yourself to not love another person just because you haven’t reach the point were you love yourself completely, because believe me you can. “The best people. All have some of scar”
This is probably my favorite quote of all of them.
America said this to Maxon because all the scars he has in his back thanks to his dad.
She tried to switch the physical pain to emotional pain, saying that the best people normally it’s the same that has passed through a lot of pain, but that is what makes them the strongest ones.

milk and honey - rupi kaur
In this part of the book, the author talks about her healing, how she closed her wounds and begin to love herself. At this moment that's what I'm trying to do, learn to love myself. So I found this quote "you must enter a relationship with yourself before anyone else" (kaur, 150) and the moment I read it I thought that this is what I´ve been missing, that is what I need to be able to continue, so now this is what I want to achieve in my life.

The Call of Cthulhu
The Call of Cthulhu is one of my favorite horror books I've read in my life, this book reflects the madness and mystery that H.P. Lovecraft wants to transmit to the reader. Every time I read this story of madness I always remember many moments of my life that are very meaningful to me. In a part of the book where the main character discovers the cult of the god Cthulhu, the head of the cult explains to the main character the reason why the powerful Cthulhu is not worshiped by mortals by mentioning this quote.
“Science, already oppressive with its shocking revelations, will perhaps be the ultimate exterminator of our human species - if separate species we be - for its reserve of unguessed horrors could never be borne by mortal brains if loossed upon the world.” - H.P. Lovecraft. 1928. Pg. 102
This quote makes me think a lot about how people fear the unknown about life. It is normal and human to be afraid of things that we do not understand though, instead of being afraid, it is better to discover what we fear and know why we are afraid of that. But sometimes our nightmares and our monsters gain power over us.

Lord Of The Flies
This quote is mentioned when Piggy gave the idea of putting a fire up in the mountain for a better chance of rescue. "The greatest ideas are the simplest." I have always thought that less is more, maybe he didn't gave a super elaborated plan to get rescue, but at least he gave a good and efficient idea. In school, when you are working in teams, a simple input in the work is really useful and helpful for us to exchange ideas. - Sofia Arellano
