Baguio Feels Like Home :)
Every time I travel to Baguio, it feels like coming home. No matter how many times I’ve been there, the place never loses its charm. Hindi talaga ako nagsasawa. Baguio will always be one of my favorite and safest places on earth. It’s my comfort zone, my happy place and I want to share why. During our recent trip, we explored almost all the famous tourist spots and still, the magic remained. We strolled around Burnham Park, rented bikes, and even tried the swan boats. The air was so cool and fresh, kaya kahit simpleng lakad lang, ang sarap sa feeling. Next, we went up to Mines View Park, where the view of the mountains made me stop and just breathe. I always feel calm here as if the stress from the city disappears. The Mansion was picture-perfect as always. Parang palaging bagong linis, and the gardens were blooming. Sa Wright Park, we took photos with the horses and just appreciated the peaceful vibe. And of course, we didn’t miss Camp John Hay, where we enjoyed coffee and walked along the pine trees. One of my favorites is Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad. Picking strawberries felt so simple yet special. Tapos syempre, bumili rin kami ng fresh ube jam and strawberry taho hindi kumpleto ang Baguio trip pag wala ’yan. What I love the most about Baguio is the feeling of safety and peace. I can be myself here. Every time I go back, it heals a part of me. It’s like time slows down. No rush, no pressure. Just pure joy. Kahit ilang balik pa, hindi siya nakakaumay. I’ll keep returning to Baguio because it’s not just a tourist spot for me it’s my escape, my comfort, and my reminder that there’s a place in this world where I can just be truly happy.
My Kind of Comfort >>
One of my favorite things to do and honestly, one of my biggest comforts is visiting different food spots, especially those with a touch of nature. There’s something magical about eating good food while being surrounded by trees, fresh air, and peaceful scenery. Para siyang therapy para sa akin. Every time I feel stressed or just want to treat myself, I look for new cafes or restaurants that are hidden gems. Yung tipong may garden, overlooking view, or kahit simple lang pero may greenery I’m already in love. Kahit minsan malayo or liblib pa, okay lang, because the experience is always worth it. I love trying their best-sellers may it be a pasta, a rice meal, a slice of cake, or their signature coffee. There’s joy in discovering a dish that surprises you, and even more joy when you pair it with a nice view. And of course, coffee is always a must. Iced or hot, basta may nature around me, it instantly becomes ten times more special. I sip slowly, take in the moment, and just enjoy the peaceful vibe. It’s more than just a food trip for me. It’s about slowing down, appreciating small joys, and giving myself the break I deserve. This is my way of reconnecting with myself through food, nature, and calm moments.
