As we round the corner to break things are slowing down. I am definitely slowing down majorly. I have never felt this level of burnt out in my life and man am I ready to turn off my brain for a couple of weeks. The creative flow hasn't been giving creative if you know what I mean. However, this morning I woke up and had to turn the brain on to create this fun button for my big, Bonnie. Bonnie and I met early on into my sophomore year in college and since then we haven't gone back. When I thought about what my best friend would be like before I went into college I never could imagine how much better it could be. She came into my life really when I needed her most and I didn't even realize it. She's gotten me through hard Roomate problems, faith struggles, a recent big breakup, and much more. Our friendship is something I would never trade. I have never felt so much support than I do from her, so to create a fun bday game day button was a pleasure of mine!

Hey Blog! What a SWEET week! These last few weeks have been so incredibly sweet and slow in the best way possible. Yes I am burnt out and tired and ready for break but I have felt the utmost peace and love from my friends and community. This picture was from Wednesday when I traveled to Charlotte and got to see my favorite artist Abbie Gamboa perform. This concert was the smallest one I've ever been to. It was inside of a very small theatre and held about 200 people. Inside there were no chairs only an huge room with a little stage. Abbie sat up on that stage and sang her heart out to us Jesus loving crowd and it was the best 2 hours of my year. And I got to see my best friend Maddie who ives known since I was 2. Maddie is the epitome of a best friend who is fully supportive, loving, and compassionate. I am so thankful to have known her for as long as I have. This night was special night for not only me but our friendship and I am so glad to have had that moment with her!

Hey Blog! School has been hard, life has been hard, but in the same time so good! As we are slowly walking towards the finish line of the fall semester of my junior year I grow more and more excited and nervous for graduation and the years to come. I have loved every moment of college and my experiences in the art school, one of which being my last project in my Interaction design class. For this project we were tasked with creating artificial reality checkpoints for a fun art themed scavenger hunt for the Columbia art museum's event. This was such an interesting and fun experience and something I have never done before! I ended up creating this fun animation to have standing at the edge of a fountain and having her drop the coin into the water. Although it took me a long time I ended up loving the finished product and was so happy to see others enjoying it too!

Hey Blog it is me again! I have had an insane week and last few months let me tell you that! Let me give you an update about my business, Cains Craft! Recently I have really been into fish and this green color, do not ask me why I cannot explain exactly what the cause of this hyper fixation is but I know it needed to be on a sticker! So that is exactly what I did. This sticker is just a window into the mentality I have been having recently, that everyday is such a good day. Everyday is a fresh start full of new blessings and excitements. I have recently been seeing the joy each day brings whether that's the weather or a kind friend or a really good coffee! These stickers ended up looking so great and I am so excited for people to start enjoying them and putting them on their favorite water bottles or computers!

Hey Blog! Today I wanted to tell you a little bit more about myself and the hobbies I enjoy. One of which being shopping... especially with my dad. Just this summer this has been something I have come to really enjoy doing with my dad. Before I left for college my family and I drove to Charleston to enjoy a day out! We spent time walking around king street and looking at cool shops and eating very good food! I had the best time. As we walked into one of my favorite stores, Free People, my dad and I started looking at all the fun new pieces they had out for the season. Everywhere we looked there was something fun and exciting that we had never seen before. So we went around and picked out some really fun outfits and laughed about some of the truly ugly pieces of clothing in there too! That day was so special to me and he ended up taking this photo of me but it was such a cool day because we had a blast pairing all of those outfits together and I enjoyed every moment of it!

Hey Blog! Today I Thought I would talk about my small business some more! One of my favorite things to do recently is create charm necklaces! Throughout this last year charm necklaces have been taking over fashion culture! I absolutely love the versatility and customization features of charm necklaces and wanted to incorporate that in my own work. I really wanted to stand out from other charm necklace brands so some of my charms are hand made out of clay just like the strawberry and lemon charm featured in this photo. I love seeing peoples faces light up when they see a necklace that speaks to them! I love that I am able to bring these charm necklaces and showcase my work in a positive and different way! Throughout the next year I hope to make some really special charm necklaces for friends and family and build up my collection of fun and unique pieces!

Back again blog, this is a graphic I made for my sororities new member cup they received on bid day! Creating this graphic was an absolute dream because not only did I get to see it in person but I really got to feel that I made an impact on the new member class and got to put my touch on bid day! Creating this graphic took come time. I first went to my sketching book and drew out some shapes and fun things to include in this graphic. I wanted this piece to scream chi o rocker chick in the best way possible! then I scanned the images in a fixed them up on my computer. in the end I absolutely loved how it turned out! It was so cool to see people using this cup as well and just knowing that the time I put into this design was so worth it!

Hey Blog! This is a picture of my wonderful grandma, aka mimi! showing off a sick koozie that I designed for my club student made while also being on my parents boat! Now let me tell you a little bit about mimi. Mimi is fun, incredibly smart, sarcastic, so loving and compassionate, hardworking and a follower of Jesus. She is to be the epitome of a christian woman and loves others so so deeply in a way I couldn't even describe. Mimi has taught me so much about the Lord and fashion. Shopping and hanging out with her is one of my favorite things to do with her. She always took me to justice as a kid with my cousin and would pick out the most sparkly and fun outfits we could find. Now we enjoy going to coffee places and spending the whole day shopping and currently I am teaching her how to thrift. I couldn't be more thankful to have her in my life!

Another thing I wanted to highlight on my blog was my favorite things! I absolutely love my family and their love for Carolina. As I grew up I was surrounded by friends who were die hard Clemson fans and slowly fell into the Death Valley pit! Thankfully as I reached the end of my time in high school I started to reflect upon myself and what I actually wanted in life. That is when I truly reflected upon my family and the thoughts I had always felt about Carolina. Choosing Carolina felt like such a natural decision in my life and when I look back I am so thankful I did. You never know the impact or blessings that will come out of a decision like that until you reflect back to it! It is amazing how God works in these decisions when you really think about it and how your life is shaped!

Hey Blog! What a whirl this week has been you have no idea. I recently went through something very difficult in my life and have not been doing the best. However, even through this pain I am slowly able to realize the blessings I can see through it. So many of my close friends have reached out and absolutely surrounded me with love and compassion. I have truly been able to feel God's love radiate through my friends actions and thoughts and prayers. I wanted to pair this reflection of my current situation with a photo of my time on a beach in my hometown. The coast is somewhere I can absolutely feel the power of God's love and intention and peace. Even though I currently am feeling uneasy and confused I know that his peace can even be felt during this weird time in my life. So just as I feel him on the beach do I feel his peace daily on campus or anywhere I go!

Hey Blog! I wanted to highlight a past achievement of mine that I completed in March of 2024. I had previously entered a competition to design the logo of AIGA's Design Her conference, where multiple women in design sit and answer questions as a panel and talk about their experiences as designers! I entered this competition timidly, thinking that I would definitely not be chosen for this and that it would be a very long shot. However I was proven very wrong! They were so excited about my submitted rough draft version of my logo and wanted to see more from me. I ended up designing multiple sticker designs and the main logo and presentation slide for this conference and got to attend and meet some wonderful women in design! Throughout this whole process I learned so much about the create process and what it is like to work with a real client!

Hi and welcome to my blog! This is just a snapshot from the amazing time I had at soda city on the 7th of September! On this day I went along with my club, Student Made USC, and attended the iconic farmers market on main street in Columbia. Student Made has really been such a blessing this year and has provided me with a platform to sell my products from my small business Cains Craft LLC. On this specific day I debuted my new product charm necklaces and was very worried they would not sell! However, I was proven very wrong, and had multiple people asking me when the next batch would be sold and where they could purchase! This was such an exciting experience and I am thrilled to attend this farmers market again soon!
