Y'all ready for a mate class that'll change your life?

Yerba Mate is a plant that grows mainly on Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. It produces some sort of tea-like herbs (in shape, not in taste) that is the base of A VERY IMPORTANT DRINK IN ARGENTINA, PARAGUAY, CHILE AND URUGUAY.

YERBA MATE HAS TWO (2) MAIN PRODUCTS/FORM OF PREPARING I

The traditional is the one called “Mate”  It consists on putting the yerba mate on a special cup we call “mate” A straw, which we call “bombilla’‘and  traditionally, you fill the cup with hot water (just before the point of boil, a tip ;) ) and drink from it with the straw. Here’s a picture of mate, yerba mate and bombilla 

As you can see in the picture below, you fill the mate with hot water, repeatedly. We carry it in a thermos so we can drink it everywhere!

THERE ARE DERIVATIVES! Depending of the region you live, you can fill it with JUICE or COLD WATER instead of hot water <3

That technique is called ’'Tereré”

AAAAAND THE OTHER MAIN IS “MATE COCIDO”

BASICALLY, they are selled as  bags of tea filled with yerba mate instead of tea and you brew them the same as tea <3 Or, if you don’t have the bags but you DO have yerba mate you can filter it and prepare it like you prepare herbal tea.

it’s delicious! I like both of these versions! 

IM SO ENRAGED Y’ALL AROUND HERE HAVEN’T EVEN HEARD OF MATE AND DULCE DE LECHE, TYPICAL ARGENTINIAN THINGS!!!
