Before settling on the name Tina, Bobby has a small list of names he had in mind.

Boys: Robert (he wanted to have a little Bobby running around), Arlo (Arlo Guthrie, a popular folk singer), or Kesey (Ken Kesey and the Merry Band of Pranksters).

Girls: Mari (Mariska Veres, the lead singer of Shocking Blue), Violet (his mother), or Baby (because she would always be seen as a baby to him, no matter how old she would be)

Tina was ultimately named after Tina Louise, known for playing Ginger on Gilligan’s Island, whom Bobby had a crush on as a teenager.
