Happy 1 year anniversary to the reveal of (arguably) the best support an archetype could ever ask for!

IRL is gripping me more and more so unfortunately I didn't prepare anything special for it. Sorry about that. But still, I'll be a Melodious Main and Composer as long as I play YGO, no matter whether or not we'll get new support. This completely revitalized the deck in a way that playing it pure is ideal and it's incredibly synergistic and... I could just talk about it for hours but... Maybe another time, and I think I'd be repeating myself.

An applause for Refrain, the tough and powerful Pendulum who made herself a staple 3-of no matter the build! An applause for Couplet, the most fun Poplar, the greatest companion, and the most cheerful cherub! An applause for Bacha, the BUSTED Fusion who's as powerful and as calling as she is imposing and sublime! And an applause for Etoile, the best Ace Monster Melodious could ever ask for, making all parts of Melodious shine brighter than ever, old and new, completing the graceful and deceptively powerful endboard!

Perhaps it'll be done as a celebration by the time all the Duel Academy military stuff is all left behind, celebrating all the Summoning Mechanics in their own way! BTW, the big purple abstracts on the sky have nothing to do with Venice.

So, hi! For those who're wondering if I'm doing anything YGO related these days, well I'm working on a new project, and that why I haven't done much drawing at all. Also feverishly waiting for the MD leaks.

I also participated in a little CADT style event.

Repping the Utopia/ZW archetype against three others: Vaylantz, Mekk-knights and Gusto, I ended up 3-1, without our team passing unfortunately, with... This concoction.

Halloween Frightfur Takodachis!

Since the ARC-V peeps liked Takos, I decided to do it slightly different!

Admittedly I had less time to polish this as I would have hoped. My arm and finger injuries, as well as the extra work I have to do just made this harder than it needed to be.

But also... I think I could have colored this better but it's still a hit hard to judge for me. This kinda color palette with the violet was harder to gauge than I thought.

Still, I hope you guys like it! Perhaps tomorrow I'll polish it some more or make a new version, since I should rest up as it's a holiday. But these last days were busy, and I'll be especially busy in the next couple hours. That's why I'm publishing this earlier than usual.

Day 20 of Melodious Takodachis! (FINALE)

Still couldn't figure out the lilac color. But I guess the photo made it look more like the real deal anyway. Peak amateur experience.

Anyway, thank you so much for looking over what's essentially my starting point in art. I wanted to do something more ambitious for the last piece, and... This means I won't do these daily things anymore. At least, not now. It's about time I moved on to more practice, so I can give out actually decent drawings.

Day 19 of Melodious Takodachis!

You know what? I'm proud of this lil' menacing Maestra! Unlike Schuberta, where I just kinda said "screw it", I REALLY wanted to get Bacha's hair right and I did not and man was it hard.... But I did my best. Doing spirals with that shaky hand of mine is hard and you don't have that much to reference once you're far outside the Tako body.

But regardless... I like this one!

Day 18 of Melodious Takodachis!

I'm pretty sure I didn't do Schuberta's hair perfectly at all, but HOLY MOLY HER HAIR GAME IS RI. DICULOUS. I probably undershot how big her hair is compared to the face.

Anyway, I'm not sure why I didn't think of this before: adapting the Takos to the Melodious' skin colors. Dunno if that looks better, the white or their usual violet.

Please tell me what looks better!

Day 17 of Melodious Takodachis!

I'll be honest, today was tiring and while I have some Melodious I didn't cover yet, I just did one that was easier to draw and practice on, mostly the color and the transition to a front perspective. Fanart of her's rare so I kinda have to figure out the front perspective by myself. I'm sure I'll improve on this in the future.

Day 16 of Melodious Takodachis!

Etoile at last! While I didn't get purples before, I got PLENTY of pinks to really color her hair!

I worked on this one about twice as long as I do most, because her hair's so friggin' hard! But she's so worth the trouble, as I actually find a period to try and do her justice... As much as I can anyway. Still got shaky hands and trails, but I believe I did a fine enough job this time!

At least she came out kinda right. Wanted to do something more involved, but I was tired by today and soon I have more IRL stuff to do so I thought that was easier, even though Harmonist's hair yellow pattern is hard to pin down.
