As you get more involved in the social scene at Ye OLDE, you’ll have a hard time resisting the allure of former flower child, Mariana Lopez.

Her serene disposition and playful spirit are evident in your early interactions with her, which helps you feel right at home at Ye OLDE. Having osteoporosis hasn’t slowed her down, and she likes to stay active (even if she suffers from the occasional break or sprain.) You can often find her practicing yoga amongst the dangling fronds in the greenhouse, or on the courts whipping an unsuspecting partner in a tennis matchup.

Like many who entered young adulthood during the Summer of Love, Mariana has always eschewed the traditional concept of marriage and the nuclear family. In her youth, she made her way to San Francisco, where she embraced the free love movement and dedicated her time to non-profits that fought for equality and women’s rights. She’s been lucky enough the find love twice in her lifetime, first with her husband John and next with her wife Kim, who passed away in the last year.
