BY THE WAY in my story for the chips, Otto never got a robot body because he knew he'd become more vulnerable to nanobots. Since he BUILT that technology, he knew it would be less effective if he stayed unaltered. Even though he engineered a way to deactivate them, he's still too paranoid to change anything.

He's also unhinged levels of paranoid and obsessive, keeping every clipping of evidence against cider on a giant conspiracy theory board. So yeah, of course he's paranoid about the nanobots. Anyone that steps into his lab has to be scanned for infection beforehand.
