This is Aedh!!

He/They, AroAce. He's about 16!

Aedh is a fire elemental. He lived on a volcano in a small village of Other elementals. He has a twin sister!! Who I will introduce later Not long after they turned sixteen their village was invaded by a group of explorers who planned to use their abilities for resources.

Aedh managed to sneak away and escape, but at the cost of his sister getting hurt. He is traveling in search of help or a way to drive away those who invaded their home.

Being born from the volcano he has innate fire abilities. If too angry or emotional there is a chance they will revert into their element form. Unfortunately this means he is extremely sensitive to cold of any kind. During winter (he's only experienced it once, after leaving the volcano), he gets very tired and sore, and needs external help to keep his temperature high enough. Too low is fatal.

Aedh is a bit of a grump guy. He's always been seen as temperamental and a troublemaker, but is ultimately fiercely protective, especially of his village. Loves hot and spicy food!! They have a short temper but can still have fun- he is still only 16.

First Character introduction!!

Story below the cut.

Adira an elf! She is also the captain of a ship, which she named the Blue Horizon. She didn't meant to necessarily become a pirate, she just wanted to sail, but she ended up with the wrong people. However, “wrong people” is not how she would phrase it, as she tends to agree with their values more often than not so she's pretty happy with where she is.

Her family always wanted her to have a very high class type of job and Adira just isn't like that, so she left. She sends money home for her parents and writes them pretending that she did find a job they'd be happy for, but she can never go home and see them. Not wanting her parents to hear what became of their daughter, she changed her name. So Adira is not her original name! Her birth name was Evulka.

Her somewhat happy life was unfortunately interrupted during an attack from another ship; some self entitled Captain convinced her crew and other pirates should be killed. During the fight, she received an injury that damaged the sight and hearing in the right side of her face. Judging by the pink color around the area and the change in her eye color, she assumes it was magic in some way.

The most devastating event that day was the death of her first mate and fiancee Weylon. While fighting the Captain, her sword was manipulated into fatally wounding Weylon. While this was never her fault, she maintains that it is.

Her adventures are less frequent now and she travels alone often, abandoning the Blue Horizon and dismissing her crew, though they are deeply loyal and would return if she called them to.

While typically she's genuinely happy and able to enjoy whatever impulsive adventures she gets into, sometimes she uses that demeanor to cover up any negative feelings or memories. During these times it’s not surprising to find her at the nearest Tavern.

However she is never to be viewed as weak or easily manipulated. She is very strong willed and confident- changing her mind can be difficult without the correct motivation. If you find yourself considered a friend, she is loyal and quick to defend.

Her skill in sleight of hand, sword fighting and gunslinging also come in handy.

He does!

His mother had an affair with another man, but he’s never spoken much with either of them, or his mother’s actual husband, who has sent men after Rue several times.

He does have a couple half siblings! But again, not much connection or interaction with any of them.

It does make him a bit sad sometimes that he doesn’t have a relationship with them, and all things considered as an adult he could go speak with them, but as long as his mother’s husband is around it would be dangerous for both of them.
