More characters I've been concocting for Türin fé la nöit, aka Turin by Night, the shared project between me and my girlfriend.

I don't have the time to do translations in the alt text like last time, sorry, but I wanted to share them for fun. Since it's a pretty closed off project I don't plan to release a lot of context for them all, except for some basics.

the idea that in vtm, the embrace freezes your body in the state it was upon death is sooo absolutely fascinating to me. how many were embraced during their moments of grief, after periods of mourning and melancholia where the remnants of tear wrinkles under their eyes remain eternally? some embraced in fleeting moments of happiness after they’ve lived a full, joyful life with smile lines engraved in their faces. some scars here and there that won’t fully heal. hair immortalizing the era one lived in. forever the age you died at

why do i keep seeing whole videos on advice for artfight from “veterans” or whatever. here’s all the advice you need:

you don’t need to draw every day

you don’t need to fully render every drawing, sketches still count and the person receiving it will still love it

you don’t need a fully polished ref sheet for every single character, having a basic one or even just a colour palette along with whatever other art you’ve done works fine in most cases

you don’t need to draw a fully rendered piece every single day do not burn yourself out or injure yourself for funny little internet points good lord

Vampire: the Masquerade is one of the most "newbie friendly" systems out there, and despite all her problems, I don't think we appreciate that enough.

"Ooooh I can't play because I don't know the lore!" Good. You weren't supposed to know the lore. There's a lore reason for why you don't know the lore. Now, I'm going to erase everything you are, turn you into a vampire, and we're gonna go through the horrors together just like god intended.

(How your character defends their soft core and what could shatter it) Because protection becomes prison real fast.
