Buildmode Content Update for Post-Patch 1.66

Windows, doors, and arches have been updated to work with the new cutout system allowing more freedom with window placement. You will need to redownload the sets. I advise deleting the original files, then putting the new files in as i have organised the download folders with a new sub folder.

you really don’t want to know what I went through to make this, and it’s more or less the best I can do for now - but its still pretty cute.

this hair is basically a frankenmesh between three different ea hairs using the bangs from @simandy​‘s biscuit hair thanks to her generous tou. I’m literally in love with these bangs and literally would not have been able to make this otherwise.

Here’s another eco lifestyle mesh edit: a casual collared midi dress. I wasn’t a huge fan of the skirt/belt in the original dress so I swapped it out for something a bit more simple + streamlined.

More Mod Barrister Bookcase

My parents have always had a set of antique quartered oak barrister bookcases that were passed down to them from my dad’s grandparents.  I always admired them as a kid; the way the glass doors pulled out and slid up was so cool.  It was always my job to dust them off during chores.  They are 4 levels high and every time we moved (which was a lot), we’d have to take each level off and carry them into the back seat of the car (or in one case, I had to ride with one on me in the passenger seat!) because they were too special to be put in a moving truck!

I was excited when I saw the barrister bookcase that came with Discover University, but I haven’t found myself using it much in my game because of its proportions and the ugly books inside.  Awhile ago I came across a few pictures on pinterest of barristers used in a more modern setting, one having been painted a pretty coral even, and I was like *DING!*

This is a new mesh, edited from the Maxis one to be smaller and with more narrow proportions.  I’ve also removed a few book sections and added slots instead, and best of all I spiffed the books way up with some handmade textures, some Maxis books, and some just edited for more variety!
