Am I the only one who got emotional when he said that in the pilot

The moment that I liked the most about the Released Animated Pilot is the beginning of the episode, introducing us to the villains.

First, focusing the powerful Skullship, ...

After Peepers showing himself to be a relentless commander, the obedient watchdogs....

And finally revealing their imposing leader, Lord Hater, silent but without letting go to be intimidating.

some thoughts abt the wander over yonder pilot

i enjoyed it! i thought it was really interesting to see what was different vs what stayed the same between the pilot and final version of the greatest. ngl i actually kinda prefer the plot of the pilot to the plot of the final episode, it felt like a more natural lead-in to the show and introduction to the characters. there were a bunch of character moments that i wish were kept in the final episode too, esp between wander and sylvia

i also really liked the epilogue of sorts after the main part of the pilot concluded, with wander and sylvia discussing being wanted by lord hater, their conversation was funny but also really sweet. it felt like a really fun way to show the story continuing and hint at further adventures they would have, and some scenes from it seemed reminiscent to some other early episodes in season 1 (the egg, the fugitives, the good deed)

also the cheerful little kitty guys from one of the epilogue scenes were so cute!! they also reminded me of little bits, i wonder if theres any connection between them and her :o
