Also, how much can butter be altered? Can he have bread with garlic butter?

Pasta is not bread, so he cannot have it. It's literal by semantics. Also, he's eaten garlic bread in canon. It's established that he can have added ingredients as long as they don't remove it from buttered bread territory.

Sydney is not written with either of these identities in mind. He's just a southernborn lass, but was moved up north very young. He's written to be white passing. If you interpret it differently, that's totally fine!

I have been super nervous for this episode! The conversation between Sydney and Adam was the first thing I wrote for season 2 all those years ago, and it sets the scene and defines the tone for everything to come. This character is definitely one of my favorites, and I cannot wait for the story to unfold for everyone!

like , let’s say i ordered something on a thursday that included my name being mentioned. would it be mentioned the tuesday after that, or would it be on a different episode ?
