I did say I was going to maybe try making this trend work for Javert as well (ti ti ti ti, it was on tiktok maybe a month ago)

His life does not receive the light this trend on tiktok uses, (It usually goes from really dark to really bright from left to right) but for him I decided to just keep everything dark, the brightest point being him being a successful inspector, because in his mind that would probably be the highest point he could ever achieve.

From left to right, we have: kid Javert, young guard Javert, Inspector Javert, derailed Javert and Javert in the Seine

happy(?) barricade day!! Everyone...well second barricade day where everyone dies but still. I know I'm a bit early with Javert soliloquying himself but still. Really wanted to draw the Elf cop again and Stewart's soliloquy is just absolutely amazing

The Mayor and the Inspector (may 2025), A3, micron 0.5 pen

This is largly based on a scene from the 2012 movie, were Javert comes and introduces himself to the mayor. I don't know if other adaptations have that, but ai don't remember it from the live musical.

Once again I decided to use a felt tip pen and I disliked using it, the result is okay.

With this, that is all of my Drawing class Les Mis illustrations, I do however have some Javert pieces from print making class, will share those at some point.

Confrontation (jan 2025), A3, black Stabilo pen

I really wanted to do a giant fight scene for the confrontation but then I remembered it would take me an entire semester to finish it, so I just drew Javert walking into the hospital while Valjean tried to negotiate.

I hated drawing with this pen, I realised I prefer a runnier ball point pens, the felt (?) tip ones always look like they're drying up if the gestures are too quick (which is how I like to draw, I have no patience lol)
