Headcanon: Every empires have a special defence tactic that completely isolate them from the outside world. No one can get in, no one can get out

This tactic requires every citizens to band together to make it work and it only happens when they lost their rulers. Either they died or exiled, as long as the kingdom is lacking a ruler, the defence will be activated (It doesn’t count when the ruler leave for meetings or away for a certain amount of times)

So far this is what I came up with

Rivendell: A snowstorm circling the border, locking them in an eternal winter until they found a new king/queen (Tbf they probably are used to eternal winter at this point)

Pixandria and Mezalea: Same with Rivendell but instead it’s a sandstorm (anyone inside won’t be affected, as long as they don’t come too close to the border)

Ocean Empire (also my favourite so far): The empire will sink to the bottom of the ocean like Atlantis, and will rise after a new ruler is elected

The Overgrown, the Undergrove and the Smallholding: Trees, plants, vines will grow and join together, basically into a giant ball of green across the entire land
